We were living for 5 nights at this perfect hotel. Even the reception was closed from 23:30 till 7:30 everything was perfect. Power generation applies whem the local grid is cut-off. Friendly staff, quit place (recommended the back rooms), clean and comfort rooms. I am sure that the next time I will visit this city, I will stay in Kuloglu... More

A beautiful, modern oasis in busy Beyoglu. There were only 2 faults. First, I could hear from my room (junior suite) the pulsing music from the nearby bars till late. Fortunately I was too tired to mind. Second was the lackadaisical front desk staff. - When i first arrived, they tried to turn me away, insisting they were full. It... More

Nearly tucked away just off Istikal Street, this boutique hotel has the perfect combination of luxury & location, at a reasonable price! The hotel is a grand, grey looking building with a small inconspicuous sign board, so careful not to miss it. It's opposite the Asmin Cafe in case you're struggling to find it. Firstly, don't expect a lavish reception... More

A hotel very centrally located with character and style. Located between the artistc Cihangir and the elegant Pera. Lots of restaurants and bars and shops around but at the same time you enjoy a quiet night.

This is a seriously good hotel for the money. Centrally located. (ok a little noisy) right in the heart of it all. The staff are extremely helpful. (even if spread over two hotels). The rooms is modern, very well appointed, and comfortable. The beds a little a hard, but the best of everything hasgone into this hotel. It IS difficult... More

Our Air B&B reservation didn't work out. Thankfully, my husband did research before we left and one of the suggested hotels was Stories. We stayed for 7 days and it was fantastic. First of all, the location can't be beat-it was in Beyoglu at the mid-way on Istiklal, the main drag. The hotel itself is sort of tucked away within... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
