We were staying in the hotel in september. The room was very clean, the man at the reception was very nice, and helped us when we needed to. The hotel is located about 50meters from Istiklal street- so it is in a great spot.

Great place to stay in Istanbul several members of my family have used this hotel. Its in the hub of everything. Very clean rooms and helpful staff. The room was a good size with a large double bed. Decor was quite tasteful and rooms were tidied and cleaned everyday. Note they do not do breakfast here but lots of little...

It is my first visit to istanbul (10-13/sept/2015) and this hotel was recommended by a friend. For a 3-star hotel, the room (junior suite)was neat, clean and well-organized. It was fairly spacious. All needed supplements were available. Linings were clean. The furniture wasn't worn out. The hospitality was great and the staff are very friendly. It is well- located in...

The Stories Hotel Karakol was a fantastic place to stay. Even though we had a little difficulty finding it because of dead cell phones, once we did, it was great. Çakir was fantastic, had us in our room after a few minutes and provided a pocket map of the area and the hotel details in case we got lost. All...

The good points of this hotel are that it has a good location near Taksim square, the rooms are small but comfortable and nicely decorated, and the price is reasonable considering the hotel's location. However we found the hotel noisy, as it is situated on a narrow street right next to a number of bars and nightclubs. We also found...

No complaints about my stay here, the room was well appointed though on the smaller size had enough room for us both. Reception was very nice, had umbrellas to borrow and made sure we had good service. Location, while not picturesque, is very centrally located and for the price of this place well worth it.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
