Our stay here was fantastic! Ahmet, the day manager, was extremely helpful during our stay. He gave us information about Istanbul and helped us travel around the city. Le Safran Suites was a great value for the price.

Maximum satisfaction. I recommend to all. We were guests of the week. For the whole time we had no problem. The service was pleasant and friendly. Breakfast could be richer, but given the price was quite satisfactory.

Location for price was excellent! Staff were lovely. They seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good visit. Lent us umbrellas too. Charming old hotel. Bed was super comfy with nice thick duvet! Why not stay in a lovely old Ottoman house when you have the chance?? Shower leaky. Breakfast not so great. Nothing major.

Overall, my stay was pretty good—the staff, room, and breakfast were all wonderful. However, noise became a pretty big issue—especially for guests not staying on the top floor. During our stay, there were kids one floor above us who kept running back and forth in the middle of the night. There were times when I was awaken by kids running...

If you are going in for a short visit into Istanbul - 1-2 days, this hotel is a good option. Though it has its history of being an old building, the rooms are very tight for that fact, and becomes quite uncomfortable. The compromise is its location as many has commented it is walking distance to Blue Mosque and the...

I really enjoyed my stay here, mostly due to the amazing staff, especially Ahmad. Pros: friendly and helpful staff, location near all touristic attractions, free WiFi, AC in room Cons: no elevator, noisy birds outside, almost no headroom in the room. Room size was small but enough for me.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
