The rooms are basic and functional. It has a decent bed, A/C, hot shower, and free wifi, but relatively slow. It also comes with breakfast. During the time I was there, breakfast was in the basement, and it was somewhat gloomy due to a lack of windows. It would have been alot nicer to have breakfast on the roof terrace,...

We spent 2 days in this lovely new hotel with big rooms. Excellent hospitality - friendly, very helpful staff. I want to express my thanks for excellent service to receptionist Engine Tugrul. He let us know all the interested information about Princess islands & sightseeings. Very professional. Thank's a lot!

Very good location, close to trams, bazaar, and mosques. Nice to not walk very far to the big sightings. Rooms were clean, warm. Towels & Bathroom always equipped. Room size was OK considering we had 4 beds. Internet Wifi links in our rooms, abit slow though. TV on wall, hardly any English channels. Window views of the bridge - which...

I stayed there with my mum from 08/05 to 11/05. The hotel is really very good - a new one, with a wonderful location in the historical center of Sultanahmet (close to the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace Museum, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern); offering very good service! The staff was very attentive (special thanks to Engin!); the meal...

This is a conveniently located hotel, close to Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Eminönü quay. Rooms are nice and quite comfortable. Service is good: we had no problem leaving our baggage there after checkout (our flight was late in the evening). However I thought the breakfasts were rather dull, same choice of food every day, little variaty. Oh...

Starting with the positive aspects: the rooms are very nice and it is obvious the hotel was renewed quite recently. Plus, the rooms are much bigger than other hotels i've stood in Istanbul. It has central heating which is a blessing in winter time (i have bad memories from another hotel which was supposed to be heated up with airconditioner:D). The...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
