The Flower Palace is a clean, elegant, modern and affordable option located right in the heart of Istanbul's Sirkeci district. The staff is friendly helpful, and the rooftop terrace affords splendid views of the Galata district and bay. The breakfast buffet offers delicious and varied Turkish cuisine.

I checked in 2 times at this hotel in May, both in early morning but they have given me a room without waiting too long. Not all receptionists can speak English but they did the best to help whenever needed. The room was small but clean, the shower pressure and temperature was great. Tea/coffee maker is a big plus. The...

We got into the city late, and checked in around midnight. The guy at the reception desk spoke very poor english, and got us to pay for the room. We were so tired that we didn't check that we had already paid, so they ended up charging us twice.m The day guy caught the mistake a couple days later, but...

After two weeks of traveling throughout Turkey, this was the most disappointing hotel of our entire stay. I booked through Expedia and we arrived very late, the night reception didn't speak English very well and insisted I pay, which was odd because usually it goes through automatically with Expedia, or you pay upon checkout. I was so tired, I couldn't...

I was staying at this hotel this year in April. I strongly recommend everyone to choose it when you are planning to visit Istanbul. First of all it has a wonderful location - you can just take a stroll and visit Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque (SultanAhmet Camii), Hippodrome of Constantinople, Basilica Cistern (Yerebatan sarnici), Galata Tower, Galata bridge, Grand...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
