I stayed with my partner for 4 nights and another 3 nights on my own. At 50 euros per night we thought it was very good value for money. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels and soaps etc...for the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. It was almost the same each day but I thought there was enough...

Me & my boyfriend stayed at Sirma Sultan on 29Apr-08May. I asked for a double room but the owner Guven upgraded it to a triple room for the same price. The people are amazing. The lady who serves the breakfast, the receptionist, the chambermaid, the driver, and the owner are all wonderful people. Customer service was excellent. They made sure...

We stayed there for 4 nights. The location is good and the staff friendly BUT... the rooms are small and there was too much noise coming from the reception all night long and we couldn't sleep. The breakfast was never ready on time. Also we asked many times how could we pay in the toll station of the Bosphorus bridge...

This small family run hotel (hostel) is right in the old city center. It is within 10-15 minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia. But be aware, that this area is little bit hilly. The hotel istself is clean and modern. But the surrounding is little bit messy. The rooms are small and the view isn´t nothing to write...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
