Starting with the location, Taksim considered to be very crowded and noisy place, not suitable if u are planning for relaxing holiday with historical sight views then sultanAhmet is very recommended with its clean hotels, friendly staff & quiet atmosphere at night. Full house is miss alot of basic things, poor break fast, cornflex was my daily breakfast. Poor dishes...

We stayed at the Fullhouse Residence (next to Fullhouse boutique, both locations are managed jointly) for a long week end. The location is perfect near Taksim and Istiklal Caddesi. The rooms are modern (with good heating system - can be important in Istanbul in winter), with a nice bathroom and many windows. Breakfast is serviced in the basement, the variety...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“The rooms on the ground and lower levels are smaller with the exception of 201 but we needed them for elderly group members, if you want larger rooms--make sure you ask--although, even the smaller rooms are beautiful and pretty standard European sized...just small compared to American hotel rooms.”
