The key points of this hotel are, location, the people working there and how cute and clean is the hotel. I find this hotel a perfect place to stay to visit Istambul. Enjoyed mainly the attention and its walking distance to the main tourist spots. On top of this the hotel is very nice and cute, the room is comfortable...

Our stay at Esans was such a pleasant experience, I'm not sure I can find enough words to describe how great it was! Even before we got there, Engin worked with us to accommodate our ever-chaging arrival schedule, and was very quick to respond to emails. We stayed there for four nights, and the hotel even arranged for our pickup...

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights n I would say its one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It situated in the Sultanahmet area and the main sites are a few minutes within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and super clean. The staff are warm and welcoming and go beyond the call of duty to...

Esans hotel has an excellent location close to some of the "must see" sights of Istanbul. The rooms are clean and comfortable and clean towels appear every day. The staff are very friendly and will advise on places to visit with directions etc. If you want value for money, then I would strongly recommend this hotel. You will not be...

I was a little surprised when my (complimentary) airport shuttle dropped me off in a quiet side street in front of what looked like a small, old apartment block. Had there been some sort of mistake? Was this Esans Hotel? My fears were soon dispelled, however: as soon as I walked through the front door I was greeted by name,...

It was such a nice stay with our family. All the rooms are nice decorated with clean, no hair in the bathroom which I really dislike. So nice owners and working relatives in such beautiful nice family run hotel. Very centrally location with many nice mosques and museums. They give us several maps as complimentary each time with useful information....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
