Nope. This hotel gets two thumbs down. The service was awful and so was the daily breakfast. The rooms were never clean and they often forgot to give us toilet paper and extra towels. The receptionist barely spoke English and failed to be of any help to us. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Even though it's a short...

We stayed for a week, and would definitely stay here again. The location is great: close to Istiklal Street, Taksim Square and the Beyoglu neighbourhood. There is a short walk to the trams. From just off the front sidewalk, there is a great view of the old city. We appreciated the help of the front desk staff: Sahin, Fatih, and...

Recently stayed at the hotel, lovely friendly staff, our room was clean and tidy, breakfast was nice, the staff were very helpful, in walking distance to bus stops, taxis can be waved down outside the hotel, we would stay there again.

The hotel is placed in a good place, you are close enough to istiklal street and you can easily take a taxi to old istanbul and sultan ahmed side. The staff are nice. Thier breakfast buffet is just bread and cheese, jams so don't expect a modern breakfast to be served. The room design is nice for first 10 minutes,...

Hotel Santa Hill, in terms of location, is very close to the lively neighborhood Taksim and Beyoglu, where you can find different cuisines, bars, cafes, night clubs. The hotel itself is pretty decent considering its cheap rate. The rooms are clean; yet the cleaner ladies did not do much after our first night. The staff are friendly and helpful. However,...

I don't really understand all the outstanding comments. The hotel is just... ok. We were 9 people during new year's eve week and things started to be messy since the beginning, when they made confusion with the rooms. Long story short, we had to change rooms after the first night, which is not pleasant. I was sharing a 4-people room...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
