I booked it under 4 star, but it's an average similar to a 3 star hotel, but I was satisfied with clean room, clean bed linen and a good breakfast every morning. It's not near to the public transport like tram or metro. If someone want to stay at this hotel and need to visit grand bazar or other famous...

Not bad value for money, although I would say this 4 Star hotel is more like a good 3 star hotel by UK standards. Room quite small but adequate for a city break. Breakfast quite basic. Both lifts out of order one day also.

This hotel is old, in the worst meaning. At the arrival they couldn't find my reservation, the room was little with no view from window. Old consumed moquette and bed linen made the atmosphere very sad. The hall is always dark and breakfast is has no sweet choice. Position: 10 minutes walking from public transport.

The hotel staff was not able to communicate well and what we mentioned on booking.com was not given to us. The room was very small nd suffocating..... When we asked them to give any other room they ignored totally... Will never recommend this hotel to anyone huhhhh

To be fair, the hotel was quite lovely and quaint. That being said, the staff do not communicate very well in English, which normally is not a problem if you don't have to deal with any issues. My issue was that due to some serious jet lag, I forgot my passport at the front desk (staff did not remind me...

Spent a very pleasant week here, beginning October, just out of the High Season. During the High Season things are bound to be different. Located on a very quiet minor street in a quiet area. No traffic, few pedestrians. Large areas in Istanbul are closed off by movable bollards, keeping the traffic to the dual carriage ways, which are grid...

Great Hotel with excellent staff! Very helpful staff and great rooms at an affordable price. Location is superb as its walking distance to the grand bazaar and city center. Very good Wifi connection and extremly friendly staff. Left my watch behind and staff were extremely helpful in locating it and posting it free of charge to my UK address. Can...

There wasn't anything particularly bad here but there wasn't really anything good either... except the location perhaps. The breakfast was lacklustre and had flies all over the place, lots of random mediore things on the buffet which ran empty pretty quick. The style was not really too offensive but pretty garish and old fashioned. The one weird thing were the...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
