We started our honeymoon at Hotel Amira and it couldn't have been more lovely! The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful, as soon as we checked in Tina took us to the roof terrace, got us a glass of white wine and gave us some infor about Istanbul! They left us some strawberries and chocolate in our room, a...

We stayed at the Amira for 6 nights to visit the sites of Istanbul. When we arrived we were taken to the terrace for drinks by a member of the front desk who explained where to go, what to visit and how to get there, I initially thought they would be trying to sell loads of tours to earn commission...

Hotel Amira's staff gave us a warm welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. They helped us make the most of our 2 night stay by assisting us with where to go, what to see, where to eat etc.Everything we wanted to see (Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Grand Bazaar) are all within easy walking distance of the hotel...

We stayed at the Amira for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and it really did live up to its excellent reviews. Service is very warm and helpful, especially the two waiters on the roof terrace. The breakfast is abundant and top quality - and don't miss the complimentary afternoon tea. We also hired out the wellness centre for...

Great hotel, very close to everything, but very quiet. The staff was fantastic, particularly AJ behind the front desk. He met us at the desk, took us for complimentary drinks and Turkish Delight while he explained over a map the things one can't miss, marking the best routes, best restaurants, etc. His advice was invaluable and delivered in a very...

We stayed at Hotel Amira for part of our Honeymoon trip in Istanbul. The experience was amazing and the concierge was knowledgeable and very friendly. He helped us navigate through the city and showed us on the map exactly where to go and not go. When we got to our room there were flower petals on the bed which made...

Selected Hotel Amira based on Trip Advisor and other reports. Winner! Location - 10 minutes form key tourist attractions such as Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Cisterns and the key tram system through Istanbul. Good selection of restaurants and cafes in the immediate area. Hotel - the amalgamation of 2 buildings to create the hotel adds an interesting atmosphere to the...

We have to come to love boutique hotels all over the world, and the Amira has all the best qualities of why we choose to stay at these. Exceptional service starts at check-in, which is personal and includes an orientation discussion with drinks on the roof terrace. The breakfast buffet is elegant and includes everything you'd expect on a fine...

This hotel was very nice and clean, comfortable and pleasant. The people there were extremely helpful and so friendly and very accommodating. Location was perfect. The only downside was that you had to take stairs. They do have an elevator, but the way the building is set up (like two buildings combined), it doesn't go to every floor. This wasn't...

This hotel was recommended to me by friends who have stayed there before. From the moment I made contact with manager Arthur to make the booking everything was spot on. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
