We were warmly greeted by Kenan, Front Desk Manager, and immediately felt most welcome! A small, cozy feel to the hotel with comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. Loved the location. Close to Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi and the Tram Line. We stayed for seven nights and were extremely happy with all aspects of our stay. Staff very friendly...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hosts are really very kind. Always smiling, giving good advices. The hotel location was perfect:5 min walk from Aya sofia and Sultanhamet camii. The room were very quiet and clean. The only bad note was the breakfast, we didn't like it at all but honestly, we didn't care because the rest...

Very pleasantly surprised by just how good this place was. Spotlessly clean and tidy, very helpful staff and generally the best in the area. And don't miss out on 'tea time', a complimentary drink and cake in the afternoons! If I was on a second trip to Istanbul I would probably consider staying in a more modern area, but for...

First time in Turkey and Istanbul. It was a cozy hotel. Turkish style everywhere, the paintings in corridor, the emerald table lamp, the light-green chair and cushine, etc. It was a bit cold during our stay, even we are the only ones to live on the third floor, they thoughtfully placed a heater on the corridor. Hotel staff were very...

Just got back from 10 days in Turkey and we started with 4 in Istanbul and stayed at Hotel Seraglio. I completely agree with everyone hwo said the location, staff, rooms were all great. The only things we had trouble with were getting English on the tv (watching BBC or CNN while getting ready in the morning helps stay connected...

We arrived and were treated to a complementary welcome drink in the cool reception area, together with an introduction to Istanbul by the knowledgeable and friendly concierge, which was great to orientate ourselves. The rooms were a decent size, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We could hear a bit of noise on a morning from the breakfast room, but our rooms...

We stayed close to 14 days at this hotel and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Istanbul. Great customer service, genuine, friendly environment, safe, cosy, clean, local to tourist attractions and most importantly affordable... Would definitely come back and stay here

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
