I booked a Tashkonak studio for our friends so we spent a lot of time together there and appreciated all the studio's facilities including comfortable furniture, efficient central heating and spacious bathroom. The kitchenette had everything that guests might need to feel like at home. The staff were absolutely friendly and helpful at all times. Our special huge thanks to...

You need to know that the picture of this building is where you're likely to stay, but it's not where you check in. The check-in is at their sister hotel around the corner about 150 meters or so away. It wasn't really a problem. They guys at the front desk were friendly and efficient -- even as I arrived at...

Stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon. Location was perfect, close to the major sights and cafés, restaurants, shops. Staff were amazing, always friendly and attentive. Rooms were immaculate, spacious and well equipped. Can't fault anything. Recommend to everybody.

Very good location, good breakfast and helpfull staff. We stay in the basement room but was enough light from the four small windows It was second time when staying here and for sure we will come back.

Ideal location for all of the main attractions. Breakfast selection is much more than the normal Turkish breakfast. Staff very helpful, we stayed in basement room which lacked light but apart from that room was spacious with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in.

Very close (walking distance) to the touristy sites. A great hotel with good facilities and a sumptuous breakfast. Staff friendly and always ready to recommend good options. Free private airport transfer was well appreciated.

We used hotel.com to book our trip and stayed there for 12 days. Our initial room was ground floor whose windows were below street level so we had no view. Upon return from an excursion we stayed on 1st floor and room was very large and lots of windows. The rooms are very clean and have safe, small kitchenette with...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
