First time to Istanbul and our hotel was perfect for what we wanted which was a good value that was safe and near all the attractions. Reasonable walk to the metro stop, quiet but very safe street, excellent breakfast, very responsive staff, I had a...More

This is a great little hotel, with very friendly staff and spotlessly clean rooms. The room we had was rather small, but who cares for a few nights. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet, the shower was hot and they served lovely buffet...More
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

There is the metro that takes you from the airport to the Aksaray station which I believe is the last stop. (Make sure you take the train to Aksaray station). After leaving the metro walk approximately 1/4 mile and you will see the tram station to your right. Take the tram to the "Cemberlitas" station and as you exit the tram go left until you see Burger King. Make a right at Burger King (Bosyia Cd.) and from there you can ask where the Dara Hotel is. Also I would suggest you download Google Maps before you go to get an idea where the Dara Hotel is.
