Enough has been said about the [perfect] location of this hotel, where you can find dozens more; the highlight for me was the staff, who looked after us (a couple with three young children) as though we were friends or family. I would like to warmly recommend this hotel where we experienced genuine Turkish hospitality.

Villa Pasha was recommended by another nearby hotel that didn't have rooms available for the nights we were in Istanbul (which is a very regular destination for our group of friends). What a hidden gem! It could easily be missed because it is located above a small restaurant in the heart of Sultanahmet, close to the Arasta Bazaar. We took...

Hotel location is excellent and it is located in a nice restaurant & bar street. It was nice return to hotel in the evenings. The staff was nice and polite and the little man in reception was ridiculously funny in a positive sense. A broken chair, displaying current saying and despite not changed. The hotel's soundproofing to windows and doors...

We spent a week there, and the location is really the best they can offer! The hotel is an old building, just like the surrunding hotels. This one has steer stairs where can climb just one at a time and the reception is on the first floor (it was a dissapointing surprise for us). It has 2-3 rooms per floor,...

We had a very nice stay at Villa Pasha Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and very funny. Our room was spotless clean, and the spa was perfect, after a long day walking around in Istanbul. My girlfriend and I had a great time in Istanbul and at Villa Pasha Hotel.

The hotel is small but very strategically located, close to all the historical places I want to visit in Istanbul. I stayed wih 2 of my friends. we rented 3 separate rooms, and each room was very spacious with a double bed. And the best thing is the bathroom which has a standing jacuzzi style shower and very clean. Staffs...

I stayed in villa Pasha 7 nights in December; the hotel has a great location in Sultanahmet, just few minutes walking to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and most important Istanbul’s historical attractions. I really liked the room’s furniture, decoration and cleanliness, the food and atmosphere of the hotel’s restaurant “Turquoise”, but of course the friendly and helpful...

Villa Pasha was on a backpacker street behind the Blue Mosque, lots of bars and restaurants, lots of cheap hostels. So I wasn't sure what to expect. But Villa Pasha was surprisingly nice. The room was clean and someone had done it up in a basic fashion but with some care. The linens were clean, the comforter was really nice....

We stayed here for a few days in October 2009. The rooms are nicely decorated with plany of space compared to a lot of other hotels in the area. The Hotel has a room terrace with a sea view (not a view of the mosque), but most hotels in the area have some kind of roof terrace. The Suite rooms...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
