Stayed here with my family twice recently. In our first stay, we had the Bosphorus Suite, which had an awesome panoramic view of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and of course, the Bosphorus. It was very spacious. You can sit outside as well. In our second stay, the Bosphorus suites were booked so we had the double room which was...

Cheaper than usual (stayed here before). Rooms are typically Turkish, dim corridors, tiny lift, small rooms and very 70s decor. The reception is never manned, staff are always out the back. Breakfast is pretty dire, it's Arabic cuisine so be warned (cucumber, tomato and bread was all we could comfortably eat) if you don't like it. The view from the...

We had a very pleasant stay for 9 nights. The hotel has an amazing view upstairs and the breakfast is very good. The room we had the first night wasn't convenient for us so we asked to change and the staff was really helpfull throughout the stay. I will definitely go back there when i'll go back to Istanbul.

This hotel has a roof top to die for .... the best in Sultanahmet. The location is fantastic - mid-point between the Hagia Sophia and the Gran Bazard - 20 feet from the main road where you would pick up the tram to train to airport or to go to all other attractions on the other side of the Golden...

The location is very good. In the heart of Sultanahmet district. Close to all the main attractions and an efficient tram system just around the corner. The views from the breakfast room of the Blue Mosque were amazing. Breakfasts were good and varied. We had to go out in the evenings as the restaurant is only open in the morning....

Well the double room we were given wasn't very impressive, shower was small, bed was king bed but also kind of small. However the Hotel's location is perfect, the breakfast is very good, room service is very good, 2 free small water bottles every day. I would recommend this hotel but always check the room.

Let me start with the positives, The location is amazing, the views from the 6th floor breakfast room are amazing, and they provide a free ride from the airport (but not back). On the other side, the rooms are warn out, torn wall paper, worn carpet, dirty bathtub, pretty unimpressive breakfast, and a staff that seems disinterested. I struggled choosing...

Nice Hotel, great location, friendly staff, ok breakfast, good wi fi, and the free massage chairs are amazing! The single bed mattresses need upgrading to memory foam or something. Decor is grand/fancy which I really like more than modern, lobby area looks posh.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
