This hotel is located in a perfect place. Right behind it is the 'Pedestrian street' which has many restaurants, shops, Forex bureaus and masses of people. At first, I though the people were participating in a demonstration but only realized everyone was minding their business. The hotel is clean and the staff at the reception quite helpful. The breakfast is...

This hotel is a very good choice if you need a place to stay close to Taksim / Istiklal. Modern and clean facilities, friendly staff (except of the reception , for some stupid reason..) and a rich breakfast buffet. Rooms on the 6th floor where we stayed were recently renovated, other floors were not.

Unlike many other reviewers I was here for business and I appreciated both the location and value for money of The Peak. As others have said, it's in a great location for the tourist sites, and for me I was able to access the visits required in the Istanbul region and be close enough but far enough way from the...

We stayed here for 3 nights during September 2014 and we were quite satisfied with everything. Very generous breakfast, amazing location (right behind of Istiklal street, couple of minutes away from Taksim on foot and very close to the metro station) and the room was clean. Taxis are waiting right in front of the hotel so you can grab a...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
