Travelled with my ten year old son. This hotel lives up to its four star standard. Excellent staff, service, rooms and location. Wonderful roof top swimming pool. On tram line direct to all important sites.

We stayed at Zagreb hotel on August 2010 for 4 days. Everything was fine, the room, the food, the service, the reception. The location is not so good, it is a bit far from the tram station, 5 minutes walk in the mid summer sun is not easy. The taxis won't always get you where you want because of heavy... More

The complimentary breakfast was extraordinary!! When lunch time came around i would still be full from breakfast. The people at the front desk were very helpful when my key card wouldn't work (which was just about everyday). I Didn't stop by the pool because it costed $10 (not lira) to enter in the pool area, so I stayed away from... More

This hotel is really good value. Comfortable and well furnished. Rooms are small but not unduly so for such a high density city. Good breakfasts with lots of choice. Right next to the tram line. We were stranded for 2 nights at the end of our stay because the volcano ash and the manager was SO helpful - he gave... More

This is the second hotel we stayed at, in Istanbul in the past week and couldn't have been happier. Not as close to Sultanhmet as some but is directly on the tram line and what you give up in a few tram stops, you make up for in facilities. The rooms are modern, western style room with good beds, bathroom,... More

We arrived before 12pm and they worked immediately to get the room ready for us. The staff spoke good English and whipped up a couple of Turkish coffees while we waited. Our room was as small as it possibly could be while still being functional – according to the plan we were in the smallest room on the floor and... More

Despite reading reviews on Trip Advisor which were a bit mixed - I wasn't sure what to eexpect. We got a good deal on our booking - so I didn't have very high expectations. After all, you usually get what you pay for. So I was delighted when I arrived late after a delayed flight to be met at the... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
