This hotel was an extradordinary value for its service, comfort, and price. The rooms were, indeed, small but cozy and charming. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel had a delicious breakfast every morning. Also, there was a rooftop terrace with sweeping views of Istanbul. There is also free wifi.

I stayed at the Aladdin Hotel in mid August 2010. It is a terrific little boutique hotel in a great location close to all the major sights and a short walk to the tramline. Rooms are a lttle small but spotlessly clean. The staff are fabulous - friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and great views from the rooftop terrace. The...

You can't beat the location of Alaaddin if you'd like to explore the Sultanamhet and Beyouglu areas of Istanbul. The hotel is w/in walking distance of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, and Topkapi palace. If you are short on time and would rather get there faster, the metro is literally a block away. The good thing is...

We stayed at this hotel at Easter, and choose it because of the good reviews and excellent location with walking distance to the main attractions. We were given a room at the lower ground floor, which had apparently just been transformed into a guest room and was still smelling of paint. The room was very unwelcoming as the furniture did...

First of all we appreciate all our guests for comments on Trip advisor. We renovate our hotel every year for better service to our guests. Room was smell painting because it was new room that’s really normal. As our guest stated; we gave on lower ground floor room (Which is in the our lobby floor) but before our guest check-in...

I am a journalist. Been to Istanbul only for 2 days on a business trip. In such a short time I had to make a video reportage for the Venezuelian TV- that seemed to be a difficult task, cuz in such enourmous city as Istanbul - you simply get lost. Thanks to our friendly receptionist Onur and his great help...

I cannot get over how wonderful the staff are at this hotel. In particular Onur was fantastic. The staff was able to answer every question about where something was, recommended good food, transportation, anything you wanted. They are the type of staff needed at a large hotel and would be great at one as well. All the staff were gracious,...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
