At our first night we weren't that happy with our garden room (heating wasn't satisfying, problems in bathroom, bad wifi reception). We had a nice talk with cagdan who could manage to bring us to another room one stairs up. View to the Blue mosque, bigger room, better bathroom, better heating and working wifi reception. The breakfast was satisfying for...

Right in old town, easy access to tourist attracons and public transportation but on quiet st; staffs cogdas and cihan are very nice. The whole hotel is like a museum, special decoration and good breakfast. Also, great value, especially during new year when other hotels raise prices significantly. Highly recommend!

Great hotel, nice staff and a perfect location in the old town close to all historical sites. We spent new year there and we highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely try to book again in our next visit to Istanbul.

The hotel is situaed in a very good position near to Topkapi, near to bus station. Rooms are clean in a typical ottoman house. Personal is kind I suggest the place and I will return here I hope. Breakfast is complete and served in a garden full of daily light. Everyone smiles in the same language and it is true

The most filthy discussing hotel we've ever seen, dead flies everywhere, dust, cobwebs, old and dirty sheets, we had 20 cm of space surrounding the bed, and that was it! there were still moldy leftovers in the mini-broken-fridge... the bed was - tree stacked mattresses piled up, the headboard was a plain piece of wood, and we overlooked some kind...

This should be 3 and a half really. Interesting hotel very centrally located in the Sultanahmet district so able to walk to all main sites. As others have mentioned the floorboards are extremely creaky making sleep very difficult at times if people come in late to the upstairs rooms. Breakfast was adequate. This hotel is filled with 'interesting' artefacts. There...

Our Istanbul experience was a positive one so the hotel did not impede on our holiday in any way and there were little quirks we enjoyed and appreciated but if I was to give a balanced view I would say the hotel fell just a little short of our expectation which is a shame as I think it could be...

I stayed here with my mother and when we arrived there was a minor issue with the room.. However, the GM of the hotel rectified it straight away and upgraded us to one of their nicer rooms 2 floors up. This was great as we did not need to explain anything, they took care of it straight away. The staff...

Although our room felt a bit small at first, it had everything we needed and it was very clean. The staff were fun and very helpful. We will recommend to family and friends. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
