When I travel, I usually stay in a budget hotel as I do not have the liberty to stay in a luxurious and expensive places and besides I only need a place to bathe, sleep and a place where I could keep my things while I tour around. When we booked in Kecik, my mind set was - expect nothing...

My wife and I had the dis-pleasure of booking this hotel as part of a tour package. As we arrived we were not greeted, we were just asked "passport" followed by "205". Not a great first impression. After struggling for a minute to open the door we entered this place. Wall paper peeling, shower broken with the shower head lying...

After reading the reviews for this hotel on TripAdvisor, I was terrified of what I would find! However, the hotel turned out not to be as bad as I expected. The rooms are a decent size as are the bathrooms. The breakfast was good too. We didn't try out the bar so have no comment on that. The location is...

Went to this hotel and before we arrive in Istanbul, we have sent an email to request to give us the newly renovated room. We never got any response from them which i think is rude. When we finally get to Istanbul, the hotel looks smaller than the picture. The receptionist speaks poor english, although the bell boy is helpful....

Kecik Hotel has a prime location. I can say that this so called "Hotel" is below expectations on average. It is a three star hotel so you need not expect anything extra or any of those privileges you in a 5 star hotel would expect. Good things in this Hotel are: 1) Free Wifi. 2) Cheap drinking water. 3) Average...

It's a good location getting around the city especially that it's close to a train station and that the area is quiet. The staffs are nice and tried to be helpful in their way but service could be more improved and as well as with room quality. There are various choices of food for breakfast.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
