This was the first time for me and for my friends here in istanbul at the marmara sisli. From the time we arrived at the hotel everybody was extraordinarily welcoming and friendly. At the reception we didnt have to wait so long for our rooms. I guess since they knew that we would come to the hotel, everything was ready...

I like the relaxed feeling of the hotel and have stayed here many times. I recommend the top floor(12) if you are lucky then you can see the Haga Sophia and the Blue Mosque from your room:-) The design is fantastic too for all those retro enthusiasts.

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip. Rooms are filthy, smelly, guests are loud, and do not recommend if you need peace of mind for your next day work. All I really cared for was the invoice for the amount I paid for my stay at this hotel to claim to my company. This is not only simple task...

This was my third time here at The Marmara Sisli on business in the last four months. Prices are fair for Istanbul and the hotel itself was very clean. It is a really nice hotel, with spacious rooms and clean. It is close to a very large mall and a super market. The area is close to the metro station Sisli and relatively quiet. The only problem was that the receptionist called us a taxi and agreed with the taxi driver to charge us more on the excuse that...

I stayed here a few weeks ago for a couple days on business. The location was perfect, since it's just next to the main artery of the new city, but away from the crowdedness of the down town core. The rooms had quite an interesting, 60s-style affect to them and were quite comfortable and well-appointed. The facilities were also more...

I returned for another couple of weeks, and this time, the staff seemed even more welcoming. This review updates my review below. Since it was Ramadan, the hotel was a little quiet, and as expected, personalised service standards seemed to increase. This time I stayed in what they all a "square plus" room... Well worth the extra few euros since...

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
