Central location. Only a 7 to 10 minute walk to both blue mosque and aya sofia entrances. Within 2 blocks there is a plentiful selection of restaurants including shadow which we visited twice. There is also a nice souvenir shop located accross the street that sells turkish lamps, dinnerware, magnets, and scarves. Wonderful breakfast on their patio on the roof....

Great, exquisite, wonderful, and I need a new thesaurus. The level of service is amazing. The manager(and clerk) gave us 2 great recommendations for dinner( both of which were owned by family). One, the Ocean 7 restaurant(owned by his brother) right up the street from the hotel. The other was an outstanding meal at a fish place right beside the Bosphorus....

I stayed at a hotel 5 blocks away that was double the price and this hotel was a much better location, and almost as good of quality. So for the price, this is an amazing option. Its literally a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Its around the corner from a great street full of restaurants and nightlife. It...

we visited the hotel in June 2014. Our first stop on the trip. It was centrally located. The service was outstanding. The staff went way beyond their normal duties to help us. We had booked a family room and though the rooms were small and basic we did not lack anything. The hotel arranged for a taxi both ways. They...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“There's no elevator, so ask for a lower floor if you're looking to avoid stairs. We took a trip advisor's tip and asked for room 302, which worked our great! Also, the hotel's website offers a virtual tour that assists in requesting a room.”
