My first foray into the world of Design Hotels led me to the Gezi because of its location (2-5-minute walks from the Havas Airport Bus stop, Taksim and Istiklal Street) and reasonable rates (under $100). I was ushered into the cozy lobby and served tea while I waited to be checked in. Upon reaching my upgraded room, I discovered that... More

The price compared to the other 5 star hotels in the area was very good. Definitely I will visit it again !!!!

The hotel is at a great location. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have a great view. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located near transportation to everywhere in Istanbul as well as walking distance to many attractions such as Galata Tower and neighborhood or Isktlal pedestrian street. Some rooms offer views to the Bosphorous. Breakfast with a view in the nice Italian restaurant. Service is quite good. Rooms are very comfortable and modern with all the niceties one... More

It is my first time to stay in a SPF design hotel and I am not quite sure why this hotel is part of a design group. There is nothing special about this hotel, not the design, not the service, nor the food. It is a painfully ordinary hotel. The only positive thing this hotel can offer is the location... More

The hotel is close by to Taksim Sq.. and easy to get to from the airport. The room was very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. I was in Istanbul after one of the explosions so the hotel (and the city) seems quite, not too many tourists were around. It's a great city and I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed on the top floor, corner room with views all over the city. It is much better staying on the Taksim side. The customer service is incredible. We like to walk so we walked all over the city by going over the Galata Bridge. You will see so much local culture and activity. The breakfast that they have is... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
