The building is OK, the location is good, rooms and suites are big and nicely proportioned. Yes, it is a Soviet style property, still it could work. Which it does not (especially air conditioning which did not work at all in the room). The staff is just not interested. Not even a little bit. Bellboys tend to congregate in one...

This hotel is from the soviet times, renovated but not nearly enough, the rooms smell an awful cigarette taste, the service is very much below average ,and the reception is not nearly professional, the room has a tv that is also probably not much later than soviet times , I regret every dollar i spent to stay in this hotel. Perfectly located in a very nice area of modern Tashkent, with big and clean rooms, free wi-fi and a bar/restaurant at the 17th top floor with magnificent views of the city. Perfect place for a cold beer or a glass of wine when returning after hours of sightseeing ! On a 12 day trip along the Silk Road in different...

It is a massive hotel located directly on the Emir Timur square, which makes is a convenient location for tourists. Many tour groups go there (saw tons of French and German tourists there, but also Uzbeks). We got a room on the 16th floor with a great view. It was large and modern, with a king size bed. Free wifi...

A huge sovietstylied hotel in the center of the city, just adjacent to Amir Timur Lenk monument and his museum. The hotel had been refurbished and seems more friendly, but still everything is huge, even the rooms. The restaurant /breakfastroom beside the reception was without athmosfere and the breakfast just ordinaire. The bar at the 17.th floor have of course a...

I am sure one can find a smaller, better maintained hotel with better service and charm in Tashkent. If you stay, really ask for a renovated room. But from the lobby to breakfast the hotel has no atmosphere and seems to have tailored their service to tour groups mostly.

It is central location yet felt that rooms were slightly overpriced especially for what you get.It was your typical nice Post Soviet Building. The hotel built in 1973 looks like it had its Heydey at one time many years ago.Ask if the rates include breakfast as some don't. The hotel has a tour desk Operation a reservation agent .A dive...

We had a wonderful stay in Tashkent and enjoyed a lot, not in Uzbekistan Hotel but in the city... we had a very good access to metro station which was at the gate of hotel, taxi cabs which were usually available in front of the hotel, and good restaurants and also historical places which were not far from the hotel....

Nice hotel, good breakfast in a huge room. The Uzbeki football team were staying whilst we were here - it made it feel more authentic. The gym in the hotel is awful but it is there. The buildings around the hotel are interesting, similar to what you see in Asgabat.
