The hotel is more like a 7 star experience ! The Tower One room are wow, fully automated lighting , firm mattress very comfortable for the back, excellent toiletries, soft ( really big size towels ), beautiful views of Galle face and the sea, nice open balconies and automated curtains Great Gym with superb life fitness equipments and amazing instructors Beautiful 35 meters swimming pool adjacent to the gym Great Spa, on the same level as the gym and pool . Niluka from the spa was amazing with the one hour massage The Ahasa lounge is excellent for Happy hours from 5:30-7:30pm. Great selection of alcohol drinks and the famous Lion beer. Gyan the lounge Manager and Samidu from the bar made sure that the drinks were flowing At the end I must mention that Rephane ( F&B Manager ) and Fazarth ( Restaurant Manager ) at the Indian Pavilion made sure that no stone was left unturned for the Breakfast and meals I had at the restaurant ( Chicken Biryani and Prawn Curry along with black daal was super tasty ) This hotel is definitely the best in Colombo today for leisure and business travellers .

We decided to celebrate my Birthday at the ITC Ratnadipa following our lovely time at the Ahasa Bridge Tower Restaunt where we had drinks and afternoon High Tea. We loved the hotel architecture, interior, furnishings, warm and friendly staff and the food were all top notch. The staff were very caring, especially the Concierge Mr Prasad who helped my elderly mother to get out of the car and provided a wheelchair very discretely. Thank you very much Mr Prasad for your excellent customer service and help to which we are very grateful.
The Indian Ocean Pavilion Restaunt dinner buffet was extensive, delicious food, and the staff were very attentive in clearing up our tables. My mother found the AC was too cold for her. The staff members brought her shawls to keep her warm which made my mother very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised when a birthday cake was provided as a gesture.

Newest hotel in Colombo and it would be my first choice for stay by a long mile. Room with balcony is one of the largest non suite room in Colombo and the space are suoerbly well utilised i.e good enough for a couple with young kid. The towels offered feel much luxurious then those offered at Shangrila, the temperature of air con flow accurate and shower flow reasonably strong.
The only small flaw is being an Indian centred hotel, breakfast is full of South Asia Indian and Sri Lankan food with little other variety. Checkin at 3.30pm was slow, taking half hour.

"We had hoped to book this hotel for Mother's Day, but we struggled to reach the reservation desk for nearly two hours. Finally, when we managed to get through, the reservation agent informed us that they didn't offer high tea, which was disappointing. When we requested the lunch buffet, we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked.
In an attempt to salvage the occasion, we drove to the hotel and tried to go to the bar for cocktails. However, we were stopped by security and informed that the hotel was at full capacity. This experience marked the first time in 30 years as guests that we were turned away due to the hotel being full. For the sake of constructive feedback, it's evident that many staff members lack professionalism and require additional training. Our first impression is very poor."

The hotel offers excellent views, and the staff was well treated for customers. The building features modern amenities and kept clean.
However, I don’t recommend visiting the hotel these days because you won’t be able to fully experience its uniqueness. Although bloggers are allowed to visit the sky pool,hotel residents are not permitted even to enter.
Although, we were entitled to the breakfast buffet at the Indian Ocean Pavilion restaurant, the best viewing area was entirely limited for VIPs at the time we visited. This made us feel very uncomfortable as hotel residents, facing numerous limitations. Many residents were unaware of these restrictions, making it feel like a waste of money for an incomplete hotel experience.

Went for lunch buffet on a Saturday at the Indian Ocean Pavillion Restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The buffet spread was really great, my favourite was the honey glazed pork ham at the salads and starters section. The most flavourful ham I’ve ever had! The variety is so much that you have to pick your favourites because you sure can try it all.
The ambience at the restaurant and the entire hotel is impeccable. Service is also superb from the point of entering the welcome feeling is everything. Kudos to the ITC staff. ❤️ Hospitality at its finest!
Sasindi at the restaurant front knew it was my birthday as my husband had mentioned it when he made the booking and she wished me, that was very sweet of her. She also asked and packed the complimentary birthday cake they brought to the table (not forgetting to sing happy birthday) for me to take home.
Tharushi made sure to check on table time to time, cleared things off the table and didn’t forget to ask us if we needed anything else.
Also thanking the manager Jalil and Chefs; Namal, Tanish and Krishna nand for their attention to detail.
We had a wonderful experience, will definitely visit again!

We stayed here based on its affiliation with Marriott Bonvoy. The only reason we chose this hotel because of we had enough points to use on this hotel in Colombo. It turned out to be the best use of points or even cash to reserve a hotel of luxury caliber. We arrived tired and wanted a room but got the standard you are early and will have to wait another 2 hours before a room will be available. 5 minutes after that the manager came with keys to a room and we able to check in early. The room was fabulous with modern amenities. They incorporated an IPad to control all the room devices and any requests to the front desk. It worked great. The best thing was the breakfast buffet which has everything possible. We actually stayed later at a trip to India staying at the Oberoi chain, but the ITC Ratnadipa still had a better breakfast. Their selection of food from Indian, Sri Lankan among other Asian food to include American and European was so abundant it was always a treat everyday. They explained in detail and with pleasure all the food since we were not familiar with all the Indian and Sri Lanka delicacies.

This review is about the high tea offered at ITC hotel. I would say it is a good experience given that the ambience is unique and elegant.The staff ( especially Divyangi) on duty are very attentive and friendly, which makes your overall dining experience in the Ahasa restaurant pleasant. Both the savoury and sweet items are of high quality and this is one of the most positive aspects of the high tea experience here.
Things to improve:
Value for money. Of course the food quality is good but quantities they offer DO NOT do the justice to the money we pay. At a very high price point of 5375/-, each platter has a very limited amount of items that can barely cover even the plates. If this rate was for a high tea buffet rather than a platter, it would have been fair but we felt that these non-sharable platters are quite unreasonably priced.
Overall, our experience was a mixture of both positive and poor observations of the high tea offered at ITC Rathnadipa.

As we entered the grand lobby and reception area on the second floor at about 1:30 p.m., we were greeted by Ms. KAWISHA. She along with Mr. Manuja ( an old friend ) accompanied us to our room and check in was done in the room itself.
We then went for a quick lunch at Yi Jing ( Chinese ) where Ms. Shakya took good care of us. Please note that the swan 's neck and head of their signature dish is made of dough and not exactly edible.
This hotel is massive and the level 4 is completely dedicated to the Spa, Salon, Gym, Sauna, Steam. I went for a Pedicure with Divyanjalee and she was meticulous and thorough with her work. Ms. Archini was excellent with the deep tissue massage.
Dulanjana the gym instructor was marvellous and we regularly attended his training sessions at 6:30 a.m. all through over 4 N stay. His training technique is oriented to the specific needs of the client.
Dilshan at the Peshawari restaurant ( North Indian) was kind enough to accommodate us and the curated menu was more than adequate.
The Concierge services rendered by Sugun and Dumidu were excellent.
Ms. Erandi at the Indian Ocean Pavilion was ever smiling and so was her colleague Ms. Minuri. Ms. Kavani was prompt in serving us at breakfast.
Chiran who attended to our room upkeep was thorough with his job.
The happy hours are available both at Ahasa lounge on the higher floor as well as Silvertips ( children allowed ) at level 2. The bar snack menu at the two places is different.
The breakfast spread at Indian Ocean Pavilion is more than adequate with a very comprehensive fruit selection including exotic fruits. Special thanks to Sous Chef Chamunda Rohan for his s personal attention to our needs.
We had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay here. All the staff are ever smiling and ready to help.
We are thinking of coming back again in January 2025, thanks to Dulanjana, Divyanjalee, Sugun, Dumidu, Kawisha and finally Mr. Manuja.

the pool area on the 4th(i believe) is beautiful and it never got crowded when i was there. they will be (or have) opening another pool area at the top of the hotel i believe.
There are more places to choose from in the Colombo area.
