I stayed here for 4 days with my family we had 2 rooms. 104 & 105 perhaps. The management has purchased very expensive furniture and renovated some rooms but with the lazy & unhygienic staff my prediction is that it will go down in no time.Cleaning is of utmost importance there is 1 male staff who cleans up the entire place in my understanding & trust me he does a horrible job.the new fixtures in the toilets already have algea deposits & wc seats are coming off, hand shower is leaking, lights are full of dust, at the back of the bedside there are piles of hair n dust, everything seemed new but extremely ill maintained.the Cutlery is awful, seemed like they just give the clients whatever comes their way, the trays in which tea was served were dirty, the teapots were most unhygienic.i felt bad for the person who owns this guest house, its located at such a beautiful spot and the accommodation is amazing but the staff needs to pull up their pants. Maybe the manager should personally check everything. If he works 12 to 10pm then he should take interest in the upkeep of the guest house. I feel sorry for the owners such a huge investment & a manager who's least bothered. You need more cleaning staff , buy new cutlery, check the toilets leakage,a.c throwing out water in the middle of the night, room and toilet doors must be cleaned they have Mark's of people hands. Windows should be dusted from inside including the blinds, mattresses should be put in the sun for 1 hour every week, Wake up mr manager ! Unfortunately I did not get to see him neither did I know that they have a manager . This is the problem in our country we know how to build facilities but we cant maintain them. If you are going there I suggest make sure you tell them to clean up properly . The manager should invest 5 or 6 thousand to purchase some basic cleaning products…
staff is not aware of what room service is.. I have asked them an extra mattress to which they provided a wet mattress, I asked them to change it and they bring new one and used their foot to align it..i asked them to change it again because there was a big stain in the middle.. same thing goes on with the bed sheets... Man.... what a worst washroom... they don't know what is cleaning... I will never ever stay in this crap again...
What a lovely brilliant hotel. Where do I begin? Great service, great breakfast, great care to providing everything we needed in our room. Great staff. Great location . Would love to stay here again!! Full marks
The customer service of the manager, Nasser, was excellent. He arranged airport pick up's and driver for the day as needed. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious and clean. The breakfasts were disappointing.
Terrible rooms with the hotel had little or no idea of hotel management. I had reserved two rooms for two nights, over two weeks ago, and when we reached there, one room's bathroom was leaking with a puddle of water in the middle and burnt out light, which despite repeated requests they were not able to fix. The other room had no water glass, no refrigerator, no towels in the bathroom with a burnt out light. I had to stand there to virtually get the room ready before I could occupy. The rooms have no windows with a view, but look into a closed courtyard with a view of a metal stair-well. The hotel phones in both the rooms did not work, and had either to go to the front desk to ask for something or use the personal mobile phone to call them. They had agreed to accommodate my driver when I made the reservations, but could not do so as it was in the basement with a dirty mattress on the floor, surrounded by construction material, with the air full of dust where breathing was not possible, an no bathroom that he could use. I had to find my driver a room at a lodge across the street, with a proper room and bathroom for Rs. 3,000 a night. This was my first and last trip to this hotel.…
The property and rooms are insecure. Friends recently lost money in their room while staying at the property with no support or recourse from the owners. Would expect some acknowledgement. Hence be aware.
We visited as a couple. Unfortunately, a sum of money disappeared from our room. Its whereabouts remains a mystery. Apart from the loss of money Gofas Lodge is not particularly clean though they will try to be accommodating. The setting is nice but the negative experience outweighs!
Some of the staff try others either simply don't care. While beautifully located in a leafy suburb of Islamabad this lodge is dirty, needs more than a lick of paint and they just won't make up your room or volunteer more than one towel per room l, irrespective of actual occupancy. Asking for an early breakfast is a bad idea. They won't manage to fry an egg unless you show them how, and coffee simply doesn't materialise. Staff and management would benefit from courses in hospitality and elementary hygiene. It's a shame because this place is so different to other guesthouses we have stayed at in Islamabad
We stayed only for a night but it was very nice . The athmosphere in the hotel is warm and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only minus was abt hot water and heater but staff always was trying to sort out the problem. If we are in Islamabad we will definitely stay in the same hotel.
I booked a room for 3 adults though we had a 12 year kid, but the room was for 2 adults, I had to tell them that I had a booking for 3 adults, then they put a sofa/bed and later I was told that I had to pay for this extra bed, which I disagreed cause I 'd already paid for a room for 3 adults, the room was quite big, but there was no outside view, the water drips in from a side wall window. I stayed in that lodge in October and it was very cold but hot water was not available or maybe the water heater wasn't working properly, we stayed there for 5 nights and we had the same problem even though I brought it to the lodge attention, but they couldn't fix the hot water problem completely. There was an other issue that the room we were given was not a soundproof, so everyone outside the room could hear our conversation and it was very disturbing. There was many things which were mentioned on their website didn't really match. Bathroom was a OK sized but the shower area was like a small box where you can hardly stand up and shower comfortably, maybe they built that shower area for the kids though I am an average sized guy. The breakfast was good, but we have to wait for almost 30 minutes everyday. Location is great and all attractions are located in the close proximity.…
