Excellent choice for a family looking for reasonable price and location is excellent, next to Jinnah Super market. Courteous staff and good breakfast. Parking availability as well. Although rooms and toilet gives old look but still good for a family.
Checked in Comfort Residency, very old dull appearance. Staff showed reasonable courtesy but reluctant to offer any support to go extra mile. Rooms have a unpleasant smell, not strong but enough to irritate. Bathrooms lack even basic accessories, found insects crawling on floor. Very dirty rug on floor. Definitely not suitable for families, in short a very sad place.
Although well located, the residency has a bad mgt (i have to asked everyday to send me towel) and regular hot water issues ( i got to shower twice without hot water while freezing in early mornings). I feel lucky i am not ill yet. Despite my repetitive request the mgt was unable to provide the basics. I was not alone by the way. I strongly discourage taking this hotel.
They have another guest house across the road, which we stayed in. Rented out the entire guest house for 6 nights for a wedding. It is very clean! No bugs or insects in any of the rooms. The rooms are comparable to top hotel rooms if not better. Their in house menu has both Western and Pakistani food and everything we ordered tasted delicious and was there in a timely manner. The staff are extremely courteous and accommodated every single one of our demands. They have a fully functional generator which meant even during blackout periods, we had electricity, including AC, in our rooms. Breakfast was served everyday from 730 to 1130. They were nice enough to change the hours for us as no one would wake up that early! They had no issues extending their timings for us or making more food. Each room has a TV with Pakistani and English channels. The location is right next to a few markets (2 are walking distance) and there is also a Hardees down the street. Overall an absolutely wonderful experience. I think we got very lucky by choosing this place and it will be the same place we stay at if we go back to Islamabad. Thank you very much to all the staff there - all our guests said they had a wonderful time at your guest house. Thanks so much!! …

I travel a lot for corporate work. Would recommend this place to anyone for any type of group. Stayed 6 nights with large family group (32 people, 15 rooms) in town for a wedding, most of them from abroad. - Excellent service by staff - polite, available, accommodating. - Cleanliness was top notch - clean rooms, bedding, new clean bathrooms, clean dining area. - Back up generator so didn't suffer during loadshedding (ACs worked on it as well, and it turned on instantly) - Good daily breakfast as well - french toast, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, mince meat, paratha, bread. The room service food was also good. - Free wifi with good signals in every room and worked all the time. - The location is one of the best aspects of this guesthouse - markets and a mall at walking distance. Very convenient for people from out of town. Everyone left happy and with a good impression.…
Very Pathetic room service, waiters specially serving at night time are really having bad behavior. The receptionist are dis- courteous, gets infuriated / irritated with small questions and eager to involve in arguments. The alternate electric supply by generator takes minimum half an hour for supply of electricity and had to make repeated request. Not A Good Choice and Certainly No Value For Money. I will surely avoid next time.
Stayed two nights at Comfort Residency. It's OK if you need a cheap room for a short stay and need to be in that area of Islamabad - but decidedly average even so. Rooms seemed clean enough. Staff friendly enough but toilet seat was lose, there were 4 hangers and one small bottle of water (which isn't enough for all purposes inc cleaning teeth etc). Had an inconvenience trying to check out as the card machine wasn't working and i had to then go over the road to pay...first card didn't work although there was nothing wrong with it. Anyway, generally unimpressed . . .
