I stayed here one night on a business trip. The location is excellent, less that 500 meters from Chinngis Khan Square and city center. Room was very spacious and clean with many amenities. Breakfast bar had a lot of variety and well-maintained. Staff was very helpful, most spoke English well
This hotel is really well positioned at only a 5 minutes walk from the Changgis Khan public square or even a famous monastery. A few restaurant aren't too far out such as an amazing Indian restaurant just across the river :) Breakfast is various to choose from, the rooms are clean, it was perfect for a transit. Would I stat there for more than a night at a time NO. The staff were OK I terms of service but not particularly smilling nor welcoming.
We stayed in this hotel for two nights on a Trans-Mongolian trip. The room was very spacious and quite comfortable. Breakfast was ok and the staff helpful. Importantly the hotel was conveniently located in the city.
This hotel room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast is acceptable, room size is also not too small. Location - it is a 3-4 minutes walk from the main road and within 15-20mins walk to shopping areas.
Large, clean rooms with good beds and a well-appointed, functional bathroom. My room was quiet. The two women at the desk spoke good English and were very helpful. I ate a light dinner in the dining room. The two servers chatted together and ignored me. It took a good 25 minutes for the server to bring a bowl of soup, which was nondescript. Good central location close to the square.
Through Amicus Travel we stayed 4 different nights in this hotel. Although it is clean, the a/c in some rooms does not work. The worst experience was on our last day when we were accused of stealing a hand towel. I went upstairs and show the 2 hand towels, 2 face towels and 2 body towels were there. They said but we are missing a hand towel. We told them to open all our bags and check and they 5 minutes later said “maybe the cleaning lady made a mistake.” End of the story. They were incapable of saying sorry! When inna previous stay the a/c didn’t work they said “I cannot do anything else” again incapable of saying sorry. Never have we experienced such offensive treatment in a hotel.
Great location close to the square and shopping centre. Restuarants on main st close by. Comfortable large rooms, clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast also great with plenty of options. Daily tours can be booked from this hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Ulaanbaatar.
Excellent staff and very clean hotel. Great shower and comfortable beds. The food in their restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Very handy to the shopping areas and to some of the tourist attractions. Can highly recommend.
We stayed at this hotel after a group tour. The room was clean, huge and everything in the room worked! I think we got a free room upgtade. It was spacious with a couch, coffee table and a small kitchette. The bathroom was lovely with a seperate shower recess and the hot water was instantaneous. Water pressure was also good. It was a pleasure to stay somewhere clean and functional. Staff were helpful and made sure we had a taxi to the airport early morniing. There is a restaurant, where a huge free breakfast is served. They also do lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend the Platinum hotel.
The Platinum is a centrally located hotel with big and comfortable rooms, good services. Breakfasts are quite poor. If there are no groups in the hotel (off-season) it would be no selection for a breakfast but portions are big with mixture of food.
