The best hotel in Mongolia. Stepping through the lobby, i was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. Light, airy and very spacious...very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They always greeting and smiling to us. The breakfasts were amazing. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who want to go to Mongolia. Will be back to this place soon..!!!
Wonderful hotel in excellent location within walking distance from the main square. Spacious fully equipped rooms, wonderful service, great bar on the first floor. On the downside I would mention the lack of bidet shower in the bathroom. The pool looks great, but rather shallow and water there a few degrees too cold.
I stayed 2 weeks and found it to be a great hotel. 5-7 minute walk to sukhabaatar square, plenty of restaurants (namaste: indian, Spanish, korean. Mongolian and KFC, Pizzahut, et,.) all within 5-7 minute walk. Several museum are close by. Also daily use stores very close by. Hotel room size is good and staffs are super cooperative. Overall a great place to stay.
Spent a night here and got a nice upgrade to a massive suite which was clean and very modern. I received an amazing welcome fruit platter which would have been impressive in a tropical country let alone in a cold country with mostly closed borders. The staff although very nice didn't really speak any English and the breakfast buffet was pretty disappointing
I am staying at Novotel since 10 days, staff are quiet nice but just a few are speaking english. Hotel rooms is confortable, landry service is good. Some points make me unconfortable here is the quality and choice of the food at restaurants. The buffet on the 2d floor is really bad . The breakfast is poor and it is compulsory to have it in the room. Restaurants and food at not at the standard of Accor group especially for Novotel.
Receptionists were way too slow to take actions. When I call back again and ask the thing I asked earlier, there will be a different receptionist and I had explain again and wait more. Surprisingly, I found an used face mask under the bed. After that called to the receptionist and he only said “ok” not even a sorry. Food was okay. The carpet had some issues, slippers were in a mess.
i stayed in the hotel in August 2019, for a bi regional meeting. at first I was a bit nervous about going to Mongolia, but the whole experience was wonderful. the staff was amazing, and all of them spoke English well. they were good at providing directions and tips on where to go. i especially wish to mention the Chinese restaurant at the hotel. the food was so amazing, that I ordered it for 2 nights dinner even for room service. the entire hotel was beautiful and modern. and the location of the hotel was walking distance to all popular places such as the square and even the malls. excellent stay and would love to go back.
From the moment I arrived, I knew that the hotel was certainly a fabulous choice! The team at front desk reception were so welcoming and most professional upon check in and there after. Really helpful with any questions etc. A modern hotel, with lovely large rooms, super comfortable beds, great showers and great wifi connections. Breakfast at the dining room was really nice also. For the traveler, who wishes to enjoy a touch of relaxation - this hotel is for you! This central location is fabulous too! Located so close to Sukhbaatar Square (5 min walk). In addition, due to its external colours, easy to locate, after exploring the nearby vicinities. I can honestly say - Look no further if you are searching for a hotel whilst visiting this great and welcoming city! I will be sure to stay here again, upon my next trip to this wonderful country! Mr. Schumacher and all of your team. You should be so proud. Hospitality at its finest. Thank you for making my stay memorable.…
Check in was quick, staff were friendly and good English was spoken. The room was large and on a high floor with a great view towards Sukhbaatar Square. The shower was great (rainfall and normal) and the TV had a huge selection of international TV channels. There was the AC system as well as a radiator and the window opened to allow outside air in. Breakfast had a large selection of Western and Asian options and eggs and different coffee drinks made to order. The hot Western breakfast choices were very good. The bread was not so good. The Biere House in the lobby seemed to be quite popular which gave it more atmosphere than most hotel bars. Prices were good (about $2 for a beer and $4-8 for food - portions were huge and the quality was good). The hotel had a supermarket in a small shopping centre nearby and several restaurants in the are. Sukhbaatar Square was about a 5 minute walk away and the State Department Store was under a 20 minute walk so the location was good (given the traffic in Ulaanbaatar it was probably just as quick to walk). Would certainly stay here again. …
