Welcome to our Zaya 1 location. This is our original Zaya guesthouse that started it all in 1995. We renovated the entire property in 2015 to make our guests' stay a comfortable and enjoyable. Our housekeeper is at the property 24 hours a day and we serve breakfast from 07:00 to 09:30. We have a travel desk that provides assistance with organizing tours and transportation tickets including airfares, train, and bus tickets. We also provide visa assistance to Mongolia.

We had two nights at Zaya recently and we were blown away by the amazing customer service! Anand and his brother run the place and they really make you feel valued. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms, facilities and free breakfast were all great but it was the little extras that really stood out to us. They have a couple of drivers on hand for airport pick ups/drop offs and they even very kindly dropped us off at our car rental place so we didnt have to walk with our bags. They also picked us up again when we returned and there was no extra fee for this. Just all 'part of the service'. I also asked them to do some washing for me and there wasnt much time to do it before my flight and they did everything they could to ensure my clothes were washed and dried before I needed them. We absolutely loved our stay at Zaya and a big thanks to Anand for everything he did for us. We definitely recommend Zaya if you are staying in Ulanbataar.

We stayed at Zaya guesthouse for 10 nights and I would say it helped me to enjoy the experience to the fullest. The staffs are very helpful and the rooms were super clean. I had a trouble with my travel company (I will not say the name), so I asked the owners for help. Not only the guesthouse is amazing, they also arrange one day trips and experiences. I thought this trip would be the worst ever in my life after the situation, but this place rescued it. I can't find the one day trips and travels arranged by Zaya, but they said they will post those soon. I will rate the trips 5 star too. I highly recommend this place to those who wants experience Mongolia to the fullest. And I will definitely come back again.

This was such a great place to stay as a solo traveller and really reasonably priced. I was picked up from the train station as promised and was made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Anand is such a great host and goes out of his way to be helpful. The room was nice and clean and the hostel is in a great location. I was very happy staying here and would definitely recommend it.

We booked 9 nights and 10 days trip with Zaya and stayed at the hostel in Ulaanbaatar for 3 nights. In short, we found Zaya amazing! Excellent communication, constant care from the staffs, couldnt ask for anything more. One of the incidents proves it - We needed to visit a hospital during our stay and the owner voluntarily offered to arranged a ride for us. Thank you guys so much for the amazing time in Mongolia!!!

Hello, I have an memorable review to make for Sidi’s (an employee) customer service throughout the time I’ve spent at the Zuray Islands with my day pass. She has been both attentive and helpful throughout my time here.

My 18yo daughter and I didn't want to go on organized tours and Anand helped us get English speaking drivers who organized activities and accommodation on arrival and then dropped us off to have our own adventure! My daughter was a vegan providing an extra challenge but the drivers organized vegans friendly meals for her with our ger host and hostess each time. While in Ulaanbaatar we had a great home base at Zaya that was close to everything (even two vegan restaurants). I would recommend this hostel to anyone coming to UB.

Anand was a great host who was more than willing to help me with everything from booking activities and recommendations. He speaks perfect English. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom and other facilities were excellent. The included breakfast of coffee, toast, eggs, veggies, milk and cereal were simple but a welcome start to the morning. You stay in a prime location just off the main street (Peace Avenue) where there are shops, ATMs, restaurants and public transport facilities very close by. If I were to return to UB, I would return to Zaya Hostel in a heartbeat. (Anand, I'll have to play you in a game of ball as well)

Zayas Guesthouse is outstanding in all regards. The rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and facilities all exceed expectations for this price point. The staff, at all levels, are polite and professional. In addition to providing great accommodation the owner/manager is on hand to offer advice and guidance regarding trips and activities during your stay. 110% recommended.

This hostel was just great right from the start, and possibly the best accomodation experience we had over the 2.5 months trip around Asia. We've arrived on a train from Russia, and were collected from the station by a driver (we didnt expect that so a lovely surprise). Everything in the hostel was just great, welcoming, clean, comfortable, warm, peacful, with plenty of private and shared space. Lovely to chat to other fellow visitors over a cup of tea (but don't go there if you like loud partying - not a place!) It's a short walking distance from main shopping and restaurant areas in the centre. The staff was always smiling, and helpful. I believe all thanks to the chief manager who has gone beyond the measure to help us find an out-of-season tour, and had plenty of good advise. We've ended up stay a couple more nights with them, and didnt want to leave. Thank you for your excellent hospitality! We would like to come back again.
