I am currently staying at this hotel and on check in I was told that my IHG membership cannot be accepted, since this is booked from a different portal, really ? Secondly i callled laundry service @1755 hrs and the refused laundry service. Not even a few hours and I regret checking into this IHG property. The hotel doesn’t provide a Iron and ironing board and keeps mentioning of checking the wardrobe. And last but not the least, the hotel doesn’t have a fan and cannot even fathom, I lived at the best western and kempenski and both had good service. Utterly disappointed #IHG
Room is amazing. Clean. Comfy beddings. Concierge is attentive although they spoke very little English. I had a good sleep after over 24 hours of travel. In general I like the room BUT two encounters. One, hotel staff used his master key to open my room door without even knocking because a Korean guest insisted that my room was hers. I was appalled as I had just stepped out from the bathroom. The room door doesn’t have a latch. Hotel staff should have known to at least do the knocking and waited for a while to see if anyone would come to the door. This is a universal practice. I even have a NO Disturb sign hanged on my door. This is major security issue that need to be addressed. I don’t longer feel safe in the room on my second night of stay. Luckily it is the last night in this hotel. Secondly, the breakfast was a disaster. I was down at the breakfast buffet at 7.30am. All food were devoured. Some group left the buffet tables in a total mess. I waited for 30 minutes. Nothing was replenished. Not even a slice of bread. I see only one staff running around aimlessly. This falls back to the hotel management who didn’t train their staff well.…
Hi, I’m staying here for couple of days during my hotel isolation. So far, food is delicious and got good view of the city, room has got good atmosphere. Most importantly customer service is great, friendly staff and prompt actions. I would recommend this hotel.
Well, I have been staying here for over a week. Now, I am sure that you better not expect friendly greetings by the receptionists. As Well, if you intend to stay here over a week, mind that the bed sheets will be changed once in a week. Plus, it seemed Japanese friendly, solely. The chiefs greet more often than the receptions. What I thought is that Toyoko Inn Ulaanbaatar Administrators better learn from Ramada Chain Hotel which is right beside the road next to this premise. This hotel is just cheaper and less serviced than the Ramada Ulaanbaatar City Center. Anyway, Ramada is still my #1 choise in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
I stayed here one night upon arrival and rebooked my second night into another hotel after that. After staying with nomads in yurts, I needed a better and more cosy hotel when i returned to UB.The hotel is ok, and the staff try to do their best, but English knowledge is rather poor and they were difficult to understand. Nor did I get recognised as a rewards member. It was a bit cheaper than I expected so I guess you get what you pay for. Sleep was good, rooms well soundproofed. Traffic in UB is horrendous, so if not havng business in town it is better to stay outside of the city centre. The restaurant was ok, but the staff's comprehension of English was very poor. The coffee shop in the lobby was unmanned when I needed a coffee and I gave up after ten minutes.
Stayed 2 nights here during a business stay in Ulaanbaatar. The staff were very helpful from concierge to restaurant to the Titem Bar. I enjoyed my staff because of the staff. As Platinum Ambassador member they upgraded me to a suite room. The room was a delight to stay in. The breakfast buffet is just ok. I would suggest it could have more hot meal choices. The Titem Bar has a great menu and good drinks specials. Met one night there with colleagues. The location is easy to find and easily walkable to other parts of the downtown area. As it is in the western side of the city the time to the airport is a few minutes less.
This hotel was chosen for us by our conference organisers. Check-in and check-out were easy. My room was spacious and well furnished, with a large desk, a huge closet with an iron and ironing board, and a safe. The bathroom was a good size, with toiletries that were mildly scented. I also had a nice view of the city. I could hear some motion from nearby rooms and rooms on the floor above, but was not really bothered by the noise, which was kept at a manageable level. The hotel is within walking distance from the city square and major buildings such as the opera house and the public library. It was also very near the shopping area. Breakfast was ok, but not great, with a mix of continental and Asian dishes. While the cafe was always busy, it was possible to find a quiet corner since the place was large enough. The meeting room assigned to us was good, although we had issues with the sounds system. The washrooms adjacent to the meeting room could have been better maintained (the hinge of one door actually broke while I was trying to open it). Service was courteous and friendly.…
Centrally locates. Hotel is friendly and clean. Opt for the breakfast when booking. It’s good and not ridiculously priced. Opt for higher floors also. Clean and modern and spacious rooms. Good city views.
As a Spire member, I got a nice upgrade to a suite, but that is where the wonder stopped. After 2 days out in the desert, I wanted to take a nice shower, but the shower was clogged and the bathroom became flooded immediately. I wasted an hour of a short stay dealing with this. No apology from management. Upon return on the evening... It took 3 tries for the key to be activated nd work on the elevator. Many people seemed to have issues with the key fobs on the elevators and they really need to fix this. Glad I only stayed one night.
I have stayed at multiple Holiday Inn's over the years and was surprised to find the very best in Mongolia. The hotel was well designed with excellent service and a fantastic restaurant. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. I found no issue to complain about.
