Stayed here for 3 nights, great location next to the Mekong, nice boutique style rooms, ours had a balcony and a view. Manager and staff very helpful for local knowledge and arranging things. The spirit house next door is great for food and drinks, especially at sunset.

Like many other hotels in Laos, the photos on this hotel's website look almost nothing like the actual place. Since this was our first hotel in Vientiane, we had no idea that it is apparently common practice to have beautiful photos on the website which bear little resemblance to the actual accommodations. We were so surprised at the difference, between...

Vientiane was a little disappointing after being spoilt on a similar break in Luang Prabang in September. We selected the Beau Rivage Mekong Hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and found the hotel very good and the staff and management excellent. Down side, and it’s not the Hotel's fault, was that extensive road works and construction on the levy bank out...

This place has a lot of character -- the blueprint of the building is anything but cookie cutter, and rooms with their big windows yet charming detailing make you want to stay a while and take a few long peaceful naps. While the river facing rooms have the great view, the ones facing the back (at least on the upper...

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. The views over the river were fantastic. Rooms were quirky, good size and clean. Breakfast was at the bar next door Spirit House which was very good. Due to the flooding in 2008 they are raising the road outside which has unfortunately changed the outside area. Still a good place to stay.

This is a nice hotel...clean, friendly house keeping staff, fairly well maintained. Also they own a restaurant right next door that serves good food and the breakfast is decent. On a down side my girlfriend had something put into her drink on a night out in Laos, that night she got sick in the bed on a sheet, the pillow...

We stayed in Vientianne for 2 nights, and were so pleased we chose the Hotel Beau Rivage Mekong - and asked for a river view room. The room was very well appointed, and we enjoyed both nights watching a storm roll in enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the Mekong. Thailand as a neighbour was a little noisy over the...

Lovely hotel and excetionally helpful team. Open bathroom may not suit those in a twin share room, depending who you're sharing with. The restaurant downstairs served up some delicious food and the cocktails were the best we had in a two week holiday. All this was complimented by friendly, attentive and knowledgable staff.

This is a decent mid range hotel. I just hit it at the wrong time I think. There is a lot of construction going on right in front of the hotel so the noise from the dull dozers and trunks starts up around 7AM and continues to about 6PM. It ruins the great view which is one of the selling...
