The Chanthapanya hotel is a wonderful old charm hotel close to restaurants, shopping and great coffee. What truly makes this hotel amazing is the staff. Two staff in particular were Ms Noutfhida and Mr Atfid, wonderful young staff who take pride in their work and are very helpful. The rooms are clean, well cared for and there is a pool....

The staff were friendly and the location is good and the rooms was clean. However, the hotel was really loud. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything. Breakfast started too late so I wasn't able to eat before my meeting which was disappointing.

The hotel is very nice. The room is quite spacious and VERY clean. Breakfast is quite good (e.g., porridge with several toppings available, rice, pork, chicken, beef menus, vegetable salads, cereals and sweet fruits). You can also request for omelette and other foods. The hotel is very near to the night Market which opens at 5pm till 10pm. Also, it...

Well, the rooms was ecstatically pleasing and very nice, decent breakfast. But my god, the personnel, absolutely hideous. Didn't even greet you when you got to the hotel, not even a hello. Absolute awful English. But the best of all, they accused of us stealing some pair of slippers when we were leaving. Conclusion, would never ever come back nor...

Rooms are aesthetic and clean, spacious and comfortable. I really like wooden furniture let me feel like in home. I've lived in 3 different rooms and every time they were ok. The only meals I ate there were breakfasts, and I was satisfied with them, I could easily choose some vegetarian options. Disadvantages: wi-fi is signal is not stable. People...

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable room. Nice bathroom. Bed was on the firm side but from my experience most beds in Asia are firm to hard. Enjoyed the view of the pool from our room. Good breakfast was encluded with our room. Also there are many other tourists in the area walking around, which makes me comfortable.

Good hotel. Friendly staff. Huge breakfast spread. Rooms were clean and comfortable. One of the better hotel gyms I've seen. My toilet started leaking on the last morning so I imagine that was unfortunate for the next guest. Would recommend.

The pluses: Spacious room with comfortable bed, beautiful hardwood plank floors, attractive bathroom and excellent location within 5-10 minute walk of many restaurants and the riverfront. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Decent value for money, especially if you are on work. The minuses: the shower. Supposed to be a rain shower, but it's too low, and rather frustrating...

This hotel could be so much better! It needs good management to smarten it up and train the staff and do some basic upkeep. Rooms are dark and dreary and over furnished. Bathrooms have been half renovated leaving them looking like they're unfinished. Staff are friendly (as are the majority of Lao people) but not efficient. Breakfast staff were very...

Charming hotel with friendly staff that are always helpful. Rooms are well apointed and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was simple with a range of fruits, cereals and local foods, and they cooked a great omelette on request.
