Lani's House is set well back off the road and its colonial feeling is all part of its charm. We were lucky to have a balcony room and the size of both the the room and bathroom was awesome. My partners first words when she walked in to the room was "wow". It is a very quiet and peaceful place...

This hotel was nice and quiet; close to a lot of things in Vientiane. It's right next to a lovely temple (Wat Ong Teu) and about a five minute walk from the Mekong River. It's close to restaurants, cafe's, and temples throughout Vientiane. You should arrange for airport pick up or they can call you a taxi from the airport....

My idiot cabbie from the airport had no clue as to where this place was (the agency at the airport didn't make sure he did) so BE SURE TO HAVE THE ADDRESS AND PHONE # ON YOUR PERSON WHEN YOU HEAD FOR VIENTIANE! The place sits back from the road and has a small sign. Known locally as just Lani...

When we booked this hotel room months ago, we emphasized two things: twin beds and the importance of quiet. When we arrived after dark, we discovered our room right off the lobby, and worried that we would hear conversations, people coming and going, etc. We waited to see just how bad it was. The internal noise, however, was next to...

Lani's House next to Wat Ong Teu is a real find, a gem of a place. During my 2-week stay in Laos I visited other parts of Laos and came and went from Vientiane and managed to stay in 3 different room types at Lani's each time I checked in. I can say that each room type is charming in...

While you can't escape the construction sounds in Vientiane no matter where you are, this guesthouse is tucked away from the sounds. The architecture, furnishings, friendly attentive staff, full delicious breakfast with good coffee along with a peaceful room, balcony and luxurious by Lao standards bathroom make this place worth the cost. Wake up to roosters crowing at the Wat...

I stayed at room #9 for 2 nights. The hotel is charming and located in a quiet backstreet. The room I stayed at was cosy and comfortable. All the staff are very helpful. Special thanks to Arvin! Breakfast is tasty and fulfilling. You can walk to almost everywhere from the hotel. And it's surrounded by 3 beautiful temples! Vientiane is...

Lani's is locaties in a traditional mansion. That is why all the rooms are different. It is a very quiet location considering all the traffic and tourists around. The rooms are large and well equipped. Some have a private balcony others do not. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. No variation at all, with eggs every day, the same bread,...

A lovely escape from the city into a peaceful hotel with friendly staff and lovely big rooms. Ours had two large beds and a nice big bathroom. Lots of windows / light. The breakfast was only ok, but it all felt very relaxed and not like in a big city.

Mme Lani and her staff are old style elegant. The beautiful old Guesthouse has recently been revamped to include all the amenities necessary while traveling today. But the biggest charm is that you are smack in the old town center of temples just near the Mekong and have a little paradise of the quiet garden to have fresh fruit, homemade...
