With a little repairs and maintenance this hostel could be a whole lot better, the showers were excellent, the best I have experienced in South East Asia. The aircon is also nice and powerful, although is turned off during the day. The bunk beds are okay, hard mattresses but the pillows are quite soft. The dorms are a bit noisy....

A bright, friendly, new little family-run hostel on a busy street popular with young backpackers, Orange Backpacker Hostel is a great choice for budget travelers looking for a comfy bed in a convenient location. Orange Backpacker Hostel is one of the cheapest hostels in Vientiane.

5 cases of bedbugs in 3 different rooms during the 2 nights that I stayed (me included in the second night). When I complained the girl in reception only say "sorry" Aside of that, everything looks clean. There are only 2 toilets and 4 showers in the 1st floor for the entire hostel, but that was never a problem. Many...

for 40,000 kip a night you can't really go wrong here. it's very central, has good clean bathrooms, pretty friendly staff, and free breakfast! there are three different dorm rooms (2 on the second floor and 1 on the third floor). This hostel was quite sufficient for a few nights stay. Cost was 40,000kip including a simple breakfast & coffee/tea. Rooms were cleaned daily. Showers were mostly hot. Wifi worked well. Some staff members were very helpful, others not so much. Good location in the centre of town.

Pros: - Good value for money - Free breakfast - Good location - Decent toilet/shower rooms - Lockers available under the bed Cons: - No free water - No free towels Tips: Don't have to book for the hostel. There's usually some space. Just show up at the front desk.

This place was OK however when we arrived back at the hostel to go to sleep after our evening, the fan and aircon in the dorm was broken. Hung around for around an hour for it to be fixed. Finally got to bed - noisy dorm full of mosquitos. No natural light or air. Smelt of feet. Good showers and...

I met some cool travelers here. However, when I was in the bathroom alone, the main staff (the owner?) came to give me a "massage" during which he put his private part against my butt. It was disgusting. I pulled away and he claimed that me being friendly and smiling gave him the impression I wanted something more. He continued...
