We enjoyed our first stay to Vientiane with the help of the friendly staff here. They helped us with all of our "beginner" questions for the city and arranged some local transport to see some sights. Great food. Location is perfect. The building itself is quite charming. Overall decent place to start an adventure in Laos.

This hotel is very nice and the staff are great, attentive and helpful. The location is OK also but hotel lacks any plan for guets to get around Vientiane. Just a rip off personal taxi service in a parking lot next door. They need to get this organised properly as it spoils the whole reason to stay there. I will...

Great pool, great breakfast, good rooms, friendly staff. Elevator a bit aged and clunks, lobby open. It is a little away from downtown, 10-15 min walk. Good stay and comfy place. U can tuck tuck easily to markets.

The hotel is quite a way out of the main part of the city which makes walking to things a bit of a problem. Breakfast in attractive dining room with attentive staff was more than adequate. A huge selection of Asian and Western foods offered. Rooms are fine though not overly attractive. But then this is Laos not NYC!

We stayed at the hotel on the 13th of feb as a stopover more than anything before heading to vv. The rooms were pretty good for the price, they were clean, the bed was good. The hotel has a pool and small gym and the restaurant was nice although the food was mostly warm at best. There were night markets...

We stayed one night here as part of a tour in Laos and found it quite acceptable. We did enjoy the breakfast however in a pleasant dining room with a good choice of dishes. The staff were very amused when my husband insisted on cooking his own fried egg as the chef was in danger of cremating it!!!

First off, decent accommodation in Laos is more expensive than you think is should be, it is a country with 6 million residents and 3 million tourists a year. Typically Mercure's are a decent standard, as other's have noted this one is quite tired and in need of a redo. The staff were as helpful as the could be with...

Our stay would have been better if the hotel received a more widespread refurbishment rather than just the restaurant and similar public areas. The first room we were put in smelled of stale cigarette smoke and overlooked a rooftop, we were asked to move and after some confusion were put into a non-smoking room that overlooked the road outside. This...

We chose this hotel as others were booked for Chinese New year. Paid about $97 per night and got an upgrade which was a nice start to the stay. The positive that we can come up with is the staff are nice. Pool was ok too. If we had paid half the price, we would have rated the property "average"...
