The time we stayed there, only rooms with shared bathrooms are available, but it's good enough with price of 90,000 kip/room/night. We can get drinking water for free. We checked out but still leave our things there to go around before go to bus terminal. They lent me their landline phone to call to bus company in Vientiane for free....

The rooms can be a little hit and miss but generally clean and reasonably maintained. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful and great location. Anyone with poor reviews has either expected far too much for the price in Laos or has never stayed in a bad guesthouse!

Saysouly Guesthouse I know since 2006, when I decided to stay there after our arrival by bus from Luang Prabang. The next time was in 2010, and last time now 4 nights from 18th of July onward. The reason to stay here was (and is) its central location , near the Mekong , the Presidential Palace, the laundry , restaurants, the...

The location is good. Value for money is good if you are lucky enough to get a decent room. Some rooms are spacious and clean, some others are quite old with rotten furniture. Aircons don't seem to be working well in any room. The tourists next to mu room complained about bed bugs.

The location is pretty good with a close proximity to Avenue Lane Xeng, Presidential Palace, Wat Ho Phrakeaw and Wat Sisaket about 15 minutes' walk from the guesthouse and the Mekong River promenade with its night market about 10 minutes' walk. Even Talat Sao Mall and Khua Din Bus Station to take the bus to the border are walkable from...

After I moved in I did some reading and realized I might be under threat of bedbugs. Fortunately my room had no problem but there were lots of flies, cracks around the windows and doors, lots of ants in the bathroom, and a toilet that wouldn't completely flush unless a bucket of water was poured in! The overall state of...

+ very central location + cheap o friendly but incompetent staff - there were bedbugs in two of the rooms I stayed in. Management refused to take over the costs for the necessary hot wash of my clothes at a nearby laundrette - the sink came off the wall while I was in one room; the same almost happened in...

This guesthouse is ok - looks nice until you really settle in and get to know everything that doesn't work. When we got here, we asked if there was wifi - they assured us there was wifi in the rooms. As soon as we paid and got into the room, we tried and it wouldn't work. Each time we had...
