This hotel is well situated quite near the Cultural Centre and you can get to the main shopping and eating areas within 15 minutes on foot. I had the forsight to book a VIP Suite, which wasn't particularly expensive at $65 (45 pounds sterling) and this made a huge difference. There are only 2 such rooms and they are very...

The Avalon hotel is very well located, with a stunning view. Wanted a few days to go hiking and this is how we came across the Avalon, by pure accident. Had a great four days in which I felt very comfortable. Super nice staff, great breakfast with a large roof terrace for breakfast outside. The hotel owner personally gave us...

Traveling to Laos was all worth it when we got to rest reall well here. It was not exactly perfect, but our room was so comfortable we just hit the sack right away on our first night. We were so tired and the hotel had clean and fresh-smelling bathrooms and robes. Our breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary, but...

Hotel is located near some of the tourist attractions and eateries. Staff are friendly. Rooms are small but considered ok for budget hotel. There are no hair dryers in the room so you would need to request from front desk.

Stayed here one night and was disappointed in the quality for money. For Laos, the prices were higher than many other places but the amenities and staff were lacking. We moved rooms late at night because our air con wasn't working properly and the shower did not drain well. Staff was not friendly or welcoming.

We stayed at the Avalon Hotel for 4 nights and found it pleasant and basic. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and polite. The location was a short walk away from the riverside and market. It was a pleasant value for money hotel.

The hotel is looks new, clean and classy. Be sure not to get confused between 'AV Hotel' and 'Avalon Hotel' - different hotels. The rooms are exceeded my expectation in terms of the space and cleanliness. There are also complementary WiFi for customers for which connection stability depends on the rooms -- vary by the distance from the modem. The...

A good location on a side street away from the hustle and bustle of town. Good for those who like to walk. The rooms were a good size and everything was clean, we visited at Laos New Year and the water festival. The staff were having drink and eats in the lobby as we were going out one evening, they...

Booked through Agoda for 3 nights, overall great stay. Room was spacious with a lovely balcony (some sort of construction work was happening next door but the noise was not a problem). Breakfast was basic (choice of baguettes, croissants and toast with eggs and fruit) but enough to get your day started. Walking distance to all the main sights (national...

Room and bathroom was small but clean, The shower was quite large but hot water undependable. But when it's 110+ degrees out, that doesn't really matter. Overall pros: - Convenient location to Chinatown, downtown, waterfront, restaurants, etc. - Included breakfast (However, don't expect much. It only consisted of eggs, bread, fruit.) - Clean Cons: - Very small - Thin doors...
