In the center of Cambodia's historic city of Phnom Penh, Okay Boutique Hotel offers comfort, elegant, captivating and smoothing accommodation of international standard to leisure and business travelers alike. The Boutique-style Hotel is just a stone's throw away from the city's cultural and restaurant and sky-bar (mini-bar) hubs, local markets and other sights of interest. Okay Boutique Hotel is also situated a short distance away from Royal Palace of the Kingdom of Cambodia, National Museum and the Royal University of Fine Art. Within the palace compound are the coronation hall; the entrance, which houses an open-air theater for the Royal Dance Troupe, and a balcony for Royal appearances; an open-air pavilion often used for entertaining and viewing of the King's movies; and the King's private residence, which houses a collection of Cambodian artwork from artists around the world, and his office, where he actively pursues Royal duties. At our Boutique Hotel, spacious guestrooms with rich colors and textures that reflect traditional Cambodia architecture are categorized into Superior, Deluxe, Premier Deluxe, Executive Suite, Okay Suite, and Family Suite. All guestrooms are fully air-conditioned, come complete with their own balcony affording spectacular view of the city and boast separate bathtub and shower facilities. Our boutique hotel style offers a relaxed respite as a perfect complement to your visit to historic Phnom Penh. The Okay Boutique Hotel is associated with a single Khmer modernized-mixed civilization decoration renowned for its art and architecture. The modern legacy was part of its official name, has its height of the 13 floor established in the year of 2012. As the principles of religion governed the concept and execution of all Khmer art and architecture, an appreciation of Angkor and its civilization is enhanced by an understanding of the religious of the Khmers. The owner of the Okay Boutique Hotel was dedicated to Vishnu who is the supreme God in the Vaishnavism tradition of Hinduism and venerated as one of the five primary forms of God. This standing stone statue has eight arms and the head of Buddha. When the Okay Boutique Hotel became a Buddhist temple, the head of Vishnu was replaced with the head of Buddha. In the impression of the Okay Boutique Hotel has a specific basic color - green for the trees, light brown for the building, blackish grey for the stones. What the owner likes in these statues is the contrast between the dark monochromatic body of the statute and the bright colors on the clothes and the parasol. The bright colors really stood out from the whole setting!

The Okay Boutique Hotel captivates many guests with its traditional charm and aesthetically pleasing ambiance, featuring wood-carved interiors and a welcoming lobby. While the rooftop areas are well-regarded, some travelers have called out issues with room views, noise, and maintenance. The hotel's cleanliness receives appreciation, though inconsistencies with room amenities arise. Guests have mixed experiences with the service, ranging from helpful to lacking in communication. Despite this, the central location near Phnom Penh's attractions is a highlight, as is the rooftop pool and diverse breakfast offerings, though the value sometimes falls short due to service and room quality concerns.

Overall this is a nice hotel when you eventually find it. It’s located down a small dead end alley, it has a sign on the road but you can only see this coming in one direction. Our taxi driver took over an hour to locate it.
The reception is amazing with ornate wood carvings and greenery. We had a deluxe room which was a good size, clean and cool but the bed is on the hard side.
On arrival we ordered a late check out at 5pm in two days time for $22. I don’t know how reception got this wrong but they called our rooms at 5am the next morning wake up call, not surprised we were not happy and complained to get an answer which never came.
There is a nice girl on the tour desk that was helpful but we opted for the hotels tuk tuk driver to take 4 of us to killing fields day tour for $20.
The hotel also supplies a free sunset cruise every day at 5pm for guests, this is well worth doing and a lovely treat.
The roof top pool is great with views across the city, lovely to cool off after hot, hard day sightseeing. We used the restaurant for lunch and dinner, food was good with a nice variety and service is quick and courteous. Breakfast is on the top floor in a lovely ornate wood carved room, good choice of eastern and western foods.
Overall this is a good hotel at a great price and I would recommend staying, sadly the reception staff let it down on check out. We tried paying with $100 note but if they have the smallest of tears in them no one will accept them. I checked the note for tears, nothing, handed it over and they found some writing on this, passed it between them then handed it back with a tear in it which my friend saw them do. This then started an argument over payment. We brought up the early morning call and no explanation. Cut long story we ended up not paying one late check out but it appears that if you have a problem here it’s like talking to a brick wall.
Maybe some customer service training is required for reception staff.

So my boyfriend and I booked this last minute not expecting too much from this place, however we were pleasantly surprised. We turned up two hours before check in time and were given early check in free of charge which was super speedy too. Our room was so spacious, bed very comfy, toiletries provided (shampoo, body wash, hand soap, toilet roll and toothbrush with toothpaste). Staff were super attentive and cleaned our room daily. Nice little balcony with good views across the city. Safe provided in the room as well as a mini fridge. Hairdryer is also provided.

Breakfast is in a buffet style on the top floor, small selection but nice food. Noodles, fried rice, chicken, pancakes, eggs any style, cereals and fruit juices. Not bad and is provided from 7-10am. There is also a restaurant upstairs to provide lunch/dinner which we ate in a fair few times and the portions are huge. Also handy that you can just charge it to the room so no need to carry cash or cards around. There is a pool on the top floor which is also great for views whilst you have a drink. There is also a spa on the 12th floor which we didn't get to try out but the prices look cheap which is always good. There are always tuk tuk drivers waiting outside to take you where you want to go which is great. Some fantastic restaurants nearby (check out Davids noodle house if you get a chance) and also a kiwi mart two minutes walk away so you can get drinks/snacks cheap.

The only downfall of this hotel in my opinion is the bathroom, it needs updating and to me felt a little dirty however my boyfriend didn't mind it too much so maybe just a personal preference! Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Having heard so many accounts of experiences in other quarantine hotels, I really feel lucky to have been here. Receptionists are very helpful and speak good English, so you don't feel left in the dark. They went out of their way to meet requests. The room is a bit old fashioned but the bed is comfortable, there is a fridge and a TV with English/European channels and a balcony. The hotel is on a small side street so no traffic noise and the AC works fine. There is a rootfop with open views and a great breeze. The food is not the best I've eaten in Phnom Penh but it's ok to good, and decently priced compared with some hotel food. All in all, I feel the hotel is working hard to keep guests happy, even though they are essentially trapped there. Many other hotels are taking advantage and exploiting people with terrible service and rip off prices, so Okay is much appreciated.

This was a quarantine hotel. The front desk staff were exceptionally rude and unhelpful to the point of obstructive and tried to make additional money at every point possible. They deliberately took the cost of the food out of the overall billing to be paid separately to make additional on top of the $2000 deposit already paid by travelers at the airport.

1. The room was filthy when cleaning the surfaces which the wipes were black.
2. The sheets were damp and musky smelling.
3. The kettle had fur inside and had to be cleaned before using.
4. The air-con leaked constantly as the rotating blade was broken. Had to clean the filter because the water drips came out black.
5. WiFi was diabolical.

The only saving grace of the hotel was the lovely restaurant staff they were smiling and very helpful felt sorry for them having to work in such terrible front desk staff.

The hotel itself looks like an old temple, covered by wood. The location is great because is 3 minutes from the National Museum and 5 minutes to the Royal Palace. When I arrived the reception was empty and was 20 minutes waiting. Stayed in room 803, a family room, with a nice view but very old, the hood was scratched, the linen with holes, old and stained curtains but a really balcony and nice view over the Royal Palace. I moved one of the beds to access the electrical plug and was full of dust. The bath room is smelly and the bottom of the shower looks like stained. The breakfast is ok and the best of the hotel is the pool (looks recent and cleaned) and the staff. Also the fact they offer a boat trip (which is quite unusual in Cambodia)

We've been using this hotel every visit to Phnom Penh for around 5 years. Its one of my favourites in the region!
It's an unassuming place tucked in a little side road, but the moment you walk in, you'll see the difference. The lobby, & the pool/roof bar for that matter, are as good as I've seen anywhere. Richly decorated with ornate carvings, it punches way above its weight on first impressions.
The rooms are large, also beautifully ornate with hard wood floors & a small balcony offering great views of the city. The bathroom is a little odd but large & cleaned every day.
The location is excellent, just a short walk to many restaurants & even the waterfront. There are tuk-tuks outside & friendly drivers will take you anywhere you want for a few dollars.
The breakfast used to be a delicious buffet but now served to order due to Covid-19. A disappointment but only a small one.
We will continue to use this hotel whenever back in PP 👍👍👍

We stayed just one night in OKAY Boutique Hotel. From the entrance to the level one reception area it looked like am antique place as wood carvings are all over the place and literally from floor to ceiling. Rooms are also decorated with costly wood panels with intricate carvings. However, I didn’t feel comfortable there as room was unnecessarily too big, dark, and compare to the size of the room aircon was not proportionate. There was bad smell coming out from the toilet. They provide hand wash, shower gels, and shampoo apart for dental kit set, but towels were old and not clean white. Restaurant for breakfast is at the top floor. Breakfast range is not many and not bad, but refill process is very slow. The hotel is centrally located and almost adjacent to the King’s palace. However, it’s ok for one night transit, but not good for a longer stay.

Pros:
Rooms are big. Pool is good, and reception staff is friendly. Everything else is just"okay" at best.

Just "okay":

Did not have my room so was given a large room but without windows... Clearly not what I had booked. Seem to overbook frequently so try not to arrive too late to avoid disappointment.

Room could use proper cleaning and bathroom was very mouldy.

Breakfast was no better than elsewhere. A usual sad affair but they did make eggs to order. Coffee was the worst I've had in a really long time.

Overall it is just "okay" indeed but there are better options in that price range and I will not be returning.

Okay Boutique Hotel has all the essentials and a lovely pool with river views. Some things we weren’t told: wear the room flip flops up to breakfast as you have to go barefoot; tuk tuks are available outside front door and you can negotiate your rate direct (discovered this myself even though I’d asked reception about getting a driver for the day - receptionist said she’d get back to me but never did 🤷‍♀️). A lovely tuk tuk driver took us to Oudong and silversmith village as well as some city sightseeing for US $40.
The hotel is in an alleyway with overflowing wheelie bins to pass by - but don’t let that put you off. There’s a convenient laundry almost directly opposite the hotel entrance which does next day laundry at US $1.50 per kilo. No wait for Grab App tuk tuks to arrive, they are everywhere. I booked early and had asked for a high level with river views if possible but we got level 1 with no view, so maybe don’t ask! Overall, very well located for sightseeing. Spacious rooms.

Cannot believe the hotel is rated as 4. Stayed during COVID and mandated by the government to stay at this hotel. Old, poor wireless and nasty reception They charged $30 for meal and this is what we ate. Terrible terrible experience ever.

Hi. When I was there in Oct 2022 the breakfast was a buffet, plus they did eggs to order (so, a bit of both buffet & A la Carte!) Pool was open 10am til 8pm, although you could still access the rooftop area outside of these times (if you want to enjoy the view). Have a fun trip :) Cheers, Louise
