I recently stayed at the Anise Hotel for 3 weeks while volunteering in Phnom Penh and traveling alone. I can’t say enough about what a pleasant experience it was. The waiters at the the restaurant, the housekeepers and the front desk reception staff—everyone went out of their was to make my stay comfortable. The free breakfast offers a variety of...

I stayed at the Anise Hotel for 4 weeks while I was volunteering in Phnom Penh. I stayed in an upgraded room with a balcony. The room was large and well furnished and the bed was comfortable. The service at the hotel was uniformly excellent. As a bonus, the hotel provides free laundry service for 5 pieces/day per person. The...

The room was fantastic, the staff were super helpful. Everything was clean and lovely. My room had a beautiful balcony. Laundry was included in the price and they helpfully ironed my work clothes. Overall, really positive experience.

A very inviting space with a wall of plants, shielding you from the street. A menu with enough choices to please everyone. An adequate, well priced drink list. The staff were pleasant even when I sent back the black label jw as it had slices of lime in it! My beef lasagna was well flavoured but really not heated enough....

This hotel is a lovely old hotel, the rooms are very clean and spacious, with a lovely balcony and a smaller room to sit in. There is a lot of building work around the outside of the hotel but that is something that the hotel have no control over, this did not interrupt our stay though. There are all the...

My wife and I stayed here for 6 weeks while I did volunteer work. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette because of our prolonged stay. The room was actually across the street from the main hotel with a private entrance. The hotel staff was always kind and helpful. The room rate also includes breakfast and laundry. The hotel...

Rooms are basic and clean. The location is very good, lots of restaurants close by. The staff was genuinely nice and very helpful. The food at their restaurant was very delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a chill place to stay.

As a first time visitor to Cambodia, I feel very fortunate to have stayed at Anise Hotel. Not wanting to stay at one of the giants near the river, I chose a smaller hotel, and am very happy I did. It is conveniently located, and even in the midst of all the mega buildings going up all around it, Anise...

For a hotel in this price range, it's an ok stay. The staff were great in making our stay more comfortable, when I noticed mosquitoes in the room they sent someone around to spray, however I do think that a plug in mosquito repellent or a mosquito net would be more effective and less pungent on the nose. They even...
