This past weekend, I had my second stay at The Pavilion...and the last! I loved the place (and the private pool room) enough the first time around to want to come back and I didn't write a TripAdvisor review the first time around, but I did review the hotel via their website and got a positive email in return from...

Dear Guest, I am sorry you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. Indeed we are constantly maintaining or improving of facilities. At the moment, the shop at the entrance is being refurbished as we had not done anything inside for the last seven years. The very essence of the Pavilion is to propose an oasis experience with a...

We cannot speak highly enough about this beautiful hotel. The service is excellent, the location convenient and the restaurant food is delicious. They were most helpful in reuniting me with my phone when I travelled on to Siem Reap, leaving it in our room.

Dear Geoffrey, Thank you so much for these kind words! Reuniting with a phone might not be the best thing to do during holiday though..... Cheers, Alexis

We only stayed for 2 nights but would have loved to have stayed much longer. Walking in from the street was like entering a beautiful oasis. The front pool area is just gorgeous set in a jungle of trees. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with lots of choices. The fresh juice, fruit and pastries were lovely. Our room was huge...

We stayed just for 1 night during our trip in Cambodia. The room was great with a private swimming pool, very quiet and cozy. The restaurant in the hotel is great - we had breakfast and lunch there. Location is great - close to the Royal Palace. If you like a taste of Cambodian-style luxury - visit this place...

We arrived here after a busride from Siem Reap and checked in. We got room 19 which was for us a bit to humid, small and tucked away so we asked for another room. Without any trouble we got room 35 which is great. The staf overall is lovely, helpfull and very friendly. The food is very nice! But above...

I would really recommend staying at this hotel in Phnom Penh. Hidden from the street surrounded by a wall the minute you step inside you immediately forgot the noise and bustle of the streets outside. The hotel is made up of a number of historical buildings set in lush green grounds and has two swimming pools. Staff were really friendly...

Stayed 4 nights in April, didn't use hotel airport transfers which was a Jaguar XJ6 costing $22 as was cheaper to arrange ourselves, I messaged a taxi from a facebook page who met us at the airport and charged us $10. Big clean room with minibar, safe, wardrobe, tea/coffee making facilities, good shower & toiletries, mosquito netting for large bed....

Dear Nivek, Indeed we offer the services of our vintage Jaguar but we propose the normal cars as well. The city taxies based at the airport are quite good too, proposing a flat rate of 13 USD. Glad you liked our little place! Cheers, Alexis

We stayed at the Pavillion at the end of a chaotic 3 weeks travelling. The intention was to splash out and end the trip with a bit of luxury. I am so glad we chose the Pavillion- it is a beautiful set of historic buildings in a luscious garden setting. It's pricy, but you get what you pay for. In...

Dear Danielle, Thank you so much for this very kind review! Just none of our rooms have bath tubs. Some rooms have jaccuzzis or private plunge pools though. Cheers, Alexis

we had room 11 with private pool and this was a little disappointing. The room was very small, with little storage for clothes, an uninspiring decode, a very 3 star bathroom and a slightly cramped an disheveled feel to the private pool. Now forget all of those bad things I have said because the rest of the place is wonderful....

Dear Nigelan, Thank you so much for this review and kind words for the team! The tuk-tuks are not part of the hotel, but over the years we got to know them and they are really great! I am glad you appreciated them too! Cheers, Alexis

Beautiful building hiding behind a plane entrance; a real gem of a find. The rooms were excellently appointed with A/C and ceiling fans, clean, cool and calming after some hectic time in Phnom Pehn. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty in a lovely pool side setting. The Lush Pool was peaceful and a joy to sit around on the comfortable day...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
