Stayed here for sight seeing in Phnom Penh. Beautiful hotel with 2 swimming pools with dining area next to one pool. Only ate breakfast here which was very good and cooked to order. Rooms large and spacious though no view from our room. Hotel is near the Royal Palace. We always got a tuk tuk to and from places as...

We spent the last night of our Cambodia trip here as we wanted to bring it to an end in relative luxury. This place did not disappoint. The building is beautiful, the rooms were equally lovely. The entire hotel is full of fantastic vintage decor and with two pools, a myriad of facilities and a very good restaurant you can't...

Gem of a hotel. Extremely quiet amongst the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh. Tranquil pool area and clean rooms with one of the best beds I've ever slept in while abroad - super comfy! In a really good area too - a short Tuk Tuk away from some really great restaurants and a short walk to nice shopping, spas...

I stayed at The Pavillion for 2 nights when I arrived in Phnom Phenh. As others have written, the gardens are exquisite and the service impecable. Breakfasts by the pool were very good. My room was in the old building (9) which was beautiful, well kept and full of atmosphere. I decided to book a.room for my return visit to...

When I arrived at this hotel, and saw the frontage, I thought "what have a done"... Then I opened the door and walked into a beautiful oasis, just beautiful and I immediately felt relaxed. The rooms are quaint with a little courtyard. There is a sun pool for sunbathing and another for relaxing in the shade. The breakfast was brilliant...

This hotel is close to the Royal Palace. The staff is very helpful. Our room faced the sun pool and was spacious and clean. The restaurant was good for breakfast and lunch. We had a very good massage in their spa and it was inexpensive.

This was our first stop on our 21 day adventure through Cambodia and Thailand. We arrived around 2100 and as we entered the gate we were taken back with how inviting the pool and bar area were. We had a room with a private dipping pool which felt amazing after 28 hours of flights. The breakfast the next morning was...

We booked the Pavilion based on reviews we had read on Trip Advisor - I really wanted to like the hotel but was disappointed. The location is great, and it really is an oasis in the middle of a busy city - you walk through the front gate and you are a world away from the chaos. We booked a...

Dear Holidaymad, Thank you so much for the tip. We will hold a general restaurant staff meeting as such initiative is just unacceptable. Please be sure this issue will be solved in the toughest way. New curtains and cussions have been ordered and we are waiting for the delivery any day now. Best regards, Alexis

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
