I had an incredibly relaxing massage session at Well Spa. I opted for the Moon Oil Massage, which lasted an hour and made me feel like I was on a vacation far from home or the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the masseuse, Ms. Men Sodalin, was polite and gentle, ensuring the pressure was just right. The rooms were modern and fully equipped with hygienic toilets and shower facilities, complete with fresh towels and bathrobes. Toiletries were also available for those who wished to shower after the massage. The tea and cookies provided at the end of the session were a perfect, quiet conclusion to the experience. I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it. Thanks to the leadership and hospitality of Mr. Neil Sibbald and Ms. Yeun Sophorn.

This is a 5 star hotel with a style all its own. The sun and moon theme is reflected in the vibrant colours and bold decoration of the well-appointed rooms which have a warm ambience. From my deluxe balcony room I had a commanding view of the river in one direction and city skyline in the other. The bed was plush and there was hot and cold filtered drinking water on tap. I liked having both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. The picture window in the bathroom allows you to watch the city below while relaxing in a hot tub. I particularly appreciated the excellent service of Mr Bun Ny and his staff at the front desk. They were unfailingly polite and helpful and provided a high standard of care. One of the staff booked me a Grab car when my phone refused to connect to the app.

Had a really nice stay here. Mr. Bun Ny at the front desk is the best, made everything easy. The pool with city view is amazing and salt water so no worries about swimming in nasty chemicals. The bar is great too. Terrific cocktails and a beautiful setting. Definitely will stay here again when I’m back in town.

A superb hotel. We have travelled far and wide and stayed in some wonderful hotels and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. Its a new hotel so you would expect all the 'mod cons', and they were there in abundance along with more unusual room features such as instant built in filtered water either hot for making tea/coffee or ice cold for cooling off. Half the rooms have lovely balconies overlooking the Mekong river and the city. Especially beautiful at night. Reception was spacious, modern and welcoming. Check in was efficient, attentive and informative. Breakfast was wonderful, asian, european and local dishes all very tasty and well presented. We didnt have dinner here but if breakfast is anything to go by then I'm sure dinner would be eually delicious. Finally the staff. As well presented and modern as it is no hotel is anything without its staff, and what fantastic staff they all are. It is obvious from the moment you step out of your taxi to first check in all tge staff want is for you to enjoy your stay. They were all fabulous. We were greeted by the general manager who gave us a brief history of the hotel and passed us to his staff. Special mention here goes to Mr Ny Bun (or Bunny as he likes to be called). His enthusiasm is infectious, he absolutely loves helping people and gets o much pleasure out of seeing his guests enjoying themselves. He lets his staff do their job whilst quietly observing from a distance and if he needs to step in to improve your experience he will. A lovely man Overall Cambodia was great but our fondest memories will always be of this hotel and its fantastic staff.

First of all: The spa environment and massages at Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel are incredible – I felt very taken care of for a blissful, relaxed experience.
Neil Sibbald, the principal consultant for Sun & Moon’s Well Spa invited me to experience their spa which I did with a 60-min oil massage. Right from the beginning, the customer service was outstanding: Neil arranged all the booking and when I arrived, the staff welcomed me and were briefed well. My masseuse, Srey Touch, who was outstanding, was very caring and confirmed my massage choices without being overbearing. I was impressed that they actually confirmed the body areas I wanted to focus on and shaped the massage around that, something that I have missed in several other massage places.
The set-up of the spa is beautiful with warm, clean colors and an earthy, natural feel and I liked how the brand Sun & Moon was interwoven even in the massage oil choices which had a focus on either energizing (Sun) or relaxing (Moon). You have relaxing nature sound music in the background which fits perfectly into the ambience without seeking too much attention.
The massage was amazing. Srey Touch, the masseuse, found the right strength from the beginning, identified tight spots and worked on them in different styles so that it didn’t get too much or painful. I didn’t want the massage to end, it was that good and I felt very “Zen” afterwards. Also, Srey Touch gave me additional tips to reduce tightness, something that I’ve also rarely experienced at other massage places.
As said, I had a great experience and definitely want to come again. What’s also cool is that they have a big gym, sauna, steam and cold plunge area so you can connect your massage with other health-focused activities.

Avoid paying for multiple nights until you have a you have a good understanding of the location which is disappointing. Given the constant heavy traffic and thin layer of black carbon over the floor in the room. After having a shower the bottom of my feet were black from the carbon on the floor. Heavy construction work being done in the surrounding areas of the hotel. The standards of cleanliness of this hotel were disappointing. It’s supposed to be new but feels old and stuffy inside. Management did not respond to my message via booking.com. Note there are two sun and moon hotels in Phnom Penh. This one is in the middle of nowhere and the other is in the city centre. Reception speak English but don’t quite understand my disappointment. I paid for 4 nights but only stayed for 1.

For the black carbon we had checked and found no trace of it and we continue to monitor on your concerned. We are curious you claim nearby heavy construction which we do not have any and we do not believe the black carbon come from it if you refer to it. Arrived here late afternoon to a hotel which looked like we were the only guests. Not even anyone in the Bar area which was across from the reception area. Our room was small with a weird looking circular window looking over the city, whilst the other side of hotel had good views of pool/river and half of them had balconies. I asked if we could move rooms and was asked for an additional USA$40/night more, which we did not proceed. Given the occupancy must have been about 5% and no more than 10%, super disappointed. Main restaurant closed so the back up plan is same menu next to the pool area which we ate at both nights (very few people there either night) Breakfast was in the big room and barely anyone in there and their knowledge of English, super limited and basic (Remember they advertise as 5 star hotel??) I am very sorry if you felt your room was too small and that you did not like the wonderful round windows, which we get so many compliments on. And also noted you highlighted about the bar in the lobby, but I guess you found out later that we have another bar adjacent to the Infinity Pool overlooking the river with a stunning view. I respect your views on the room allocation and room type category - we go according to your booking agent who made the booking for you. I hope you understand that our team highlighted to your request for a larger room with balcony and we informed you of the charges for the rooms with balcony, however you decline the offer. I sincerely apologize as you felt that No One spoke or understood English - we do have numerous staff that speaks English here, however I respect your views, as English is the spoken language in Australia. We would like to highlight that we have 2 different menus and 2 restaurants and 3 bars and the In Room Dining menu for the rooms are a mix of Asian Favorites, Comfort Food, Quick Bites and Desserts. We sincerely apologize and we will share all your comments with the team as we will work on continuously improving ourselves, since I have discovered in my time of working in an iconic 5-star hotel in Sydney - where the warmth and sincerity in the service is missing. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a baby cot and welcome fruit and wine. The hotel team was exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring our every need was met.
The culinary delights at the hotel were simply outstanding. We savored every meal, prepared with the freshest ingredients and expertly executed. Our suite was a haven of comfort and tranquility, providing ample space for our family and featuring a full range of amenities.
The hotel's location along the riverfront was an absolute highlight. We enjoyed breathtaking views from our room and had easy access to the city's attractions. The hotel's proximity to local markets and restaurants allowed us to immerse ourselves in the vibrant Cambodian culture.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights as part of a three week, three country trip to SE Asia. We booked this hotel online whilst in Pnomh Penh having been disappointed with our first nights accomodation nearer the centre. Whilst the hotel is further from the centre than was ideal it proved to be a good decision. Located on the river and South of the city where most of the new development appears to be happening in anticipation of the new airport opening in 2025. Travel to the centre best undertaken on Tuk Tuks booked via Grab which are very cheap by Western standards. First night we had a problem with noisy air conditioning so were moved to another room by Hotel Manager. Aside from that no issues. Staff very friendly and a special shout out to both Bunny & Vian for their fantastic assistance during our stay. Breakfast was excellent with a good overall selection meeting most pallets. Hotel is a couple of years old but was well maintained and appeared virtually brand new. Hotel has a fantasic pool area with infinity pool.
