I stayed there for a week in October 2015. It was booked by the organizers of an academic conference. The room was cozy and nice. The bathroom did have a few leaky taps but as for the room , it was nice and comforting. The windows opens out to Mashtot's Avenue. The bar cum restaurant downstairs is nice as well offering...

This was my third stay at this hotel - the name Guest house is not quite an accurate translation - the building was originally intended for academic guests, a purpose which it continues to serve, but it also provides inexpensive accommodation in the centre of Yerevan, at a fraction of the price associated with commercial establishments. The rooms are spacious...

I stayed here for a few nights in October 2013. It was a business trip (academic) and the organizers of the even booked the accommodation for me. The Guest House is located very conveniently on the Mashtots Avenue, one of the central roads in Yerevan. Many interesting and important places, including the Opera, National Academy, Universities, Cascades, Matenadaran etc., are...

A very good place if you are not looking for 5* hotel luxuries. The bed is moderately comfortable (although a bit short for my 185cm height). Clean towels provided at regular intervals. The breakfast is basic but tasty and with local color. The location of the guesthouse is ideally situated in the midst of downtown Yerevan, with many sights reachable...

It is quite reasonable accomodation in Yerevan as it offers room at half/one-third price compared to other hotels in Yerevan. For the money, you get what you pay. Quite a good accomodation, which is rather basic and you can "touch" the atmosphere of the Soviet era here ;). However, rooms were clean and equipment of the rooms was sufficient enough...

This is reasonable and inexpensive accommodation within walking distance of many attractions in Yerevan. The rooms are clean and tidy but very basic. Don't expect to find comfortable seats in the communal area either. Staff are friendly and helpful but the ones I met didn't speak English, and I don't speak Armenian. I visited in December and the central heating...

It's hard to find good accommodation in central Yerevan at a reasonable price, and that's why the YSU Guesthouse makes a good choice. It's got a great location on Mashtots avenue near the manuscript museum, so easy walking distance to many places, and it's reasonably priced. But there are plenty of little problems, so ultimately you get what you pay...

We have just stayed for 6 nights here and found the Guest house to be of a comfortable standard. Sheets are clean, beds on the slightly firm side, showers with good water pressure, fridges in rooms which is very handy for keeping water cold. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had laundry done whilst there for a very good price,...

Accommodation in Yerevan can be very expensive and the cheaper options tend to be in inconvenient locations. This guest house is within walking distance of all the main central sights. Rooms are rather basic but are spacious very clean and comfortable. In summer it is better to avoid non aircon rooms at the back of the hotel as they tend...

“Though there is no lift, I have a prefence for the higher floors, and also a prefence for a room facing the back, as opposed to those at the front that overlook the Mashtots avenue. In any case, though, the windows seem to provide good sound insulation.”
