I went there because it looked nice in the lonely planet. Cheap room but really worn out. Shower hose was too short so only if you're 1.50m the shower will work. They booked a busticket to phong nga for me but I ended up in dong hoi which is about 30km from phong nga. I'm pissed and disappointed.

The Halo is a decent guesthouse, quite clean, comfortable enough beds, and good location (it is also right down the road from DMZ Bar). Staff were very friendly and helpful. They called a doctor for my friend who had hurt her ears and also gave us information about where to go and eat in the city. We also hired bicycles...

We stayed for two nights at 10 bucks a night. Really central location and service was good. Rooms are clean and hot showers are best. Really good value for a cheapie. Plus booked a bus to hoi an for 30000 dong cheaper than everyone else. Not an amazing hotel but for 10 bucks a room it was superb.

The first night we got there, the street started to flood so we couldn't go out for dinner. The lady made us a simple dinner for free so we wouldn't have to go out in the knee high water or go to bed hungry. The rooms were nice. The 10 dollar ones nicer than the 8's of course! They also...

We stayed at the Halo hostel for three nights. The room was clean and the bathroom even had a bathtub. The manager was really friendly and even tried coordinating our bus trip even though we booked it through an other agency. She always tried to help us with everything she could and she makes awesome pancakes! I definately recommend that...

The hotel is located in the best part of the town and offers really cheap prices (8 usd). However the springs on the old matresses will kill you and the smell of the blankets will make you faint. We really believe they have nerver washed it. The manager of the hotel was really nice at the beginning but when we...

We ended up staying a while in Huè over New Year while we waited for our visas to be renewed. Our first night at Halo was in an 8$ room that left a bit to be desired- the air con was leaking, and the damp towel placed beneath it made the room smell.. We decided to stick it for the...

The hotel is really well located, close to everything. The room was Ok. We paid USD10, that I think is to much for what they offer, but there wasn´t anything cheaper. Next door hotel is worst. The room is clean and the staff nice. The matress is extremly old, and I still have pain in my body because of it....

We stayed for two nights in the quiet season for travelling in Vietnam so we had a lot of people almost begging for us to go to their hotel as soon as we stepped on the train in Hue. Halo was on our list of possible guesthouse/hotels so we headed there. The owner was very friendly and always smiling and...

My partner and I stayed in a $8 room. The bed was hard, and there was no window. When we stayed it rained alot, thus the room ended up smelling alot due to the no window. The room itself had mould on the wall also. Wifi was only in the lobby. We only ended up staying the one day as...
