Slightly quirky ( in a good sense) boutique hotel. Not part of a chain, and it showed in the very personal feel to it, and the extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Not super lux: but does not pretend to be, and is very good value. Hue is a noisy city , with traffic and moped noise. A real plus is that The Scarlett is tucked away in a quiet alley, so is quiet, but is walking distance to the main ( part pedestrianised) restaurant /bar area; and the river. Comfortable room ( though not that big). Staff very efficient and helpful with advice and arrangements for excursions.

This is a small hotel tucked away in a short alley behind other buildings which made it an extremely quiet option in this noisy area of the city. Our room (a Passion room) was a little small - it was a good job that we didn't have too much luggage - but it was extremely comfortable. The bed was large and one of the best of our entire six week trip. The bathroom was a good size with decent shower. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. It is within walking distance of the main shopping and restaurant area and we also walked along the promenade by the river to the Citadel from here. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Scarlett is slightly tucked away from the major street but located at a great location. The staff was professional and kept things clean. The hallways between the rooms was a little tight but the room was spacious and comfortable. The theme and decor of the hotel and rooms was unique and interesting to us. Breakfast was only decent, but there was always a staff member to get you anything you needed. I think the biggest selling point is the location. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. If there was anything else we wanted to do or see, it would only be a short drive away.

This little hotel was excellent. We took the Scarlett Suite, which had a balcony facing the front. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable and felt quite new. Good pillows too! The fridge didn't really get our drinks cold, but the hotel gave us as much ice as we wanted, and they were happy to bring it to us on the top floor.

The a/c was cold and quiet. No problem sleeping through the night with it on. Considering it was almost 40 degrees outside, that was very important!

The photos on the website are exactly what you get, which is important because some hotels in Vietnam show photos from a long time ago when the room was new, but when you get there the room is old. With Scarlett Hotel the photos are really accurate.

The staff here are incredibly nice. Always ready to help with any request, whether it was for ice, local recommendations, sending our clothes to the laundry... anything. They even brought us a couple of little chairs for the balcony so we could sit outside and enjoy the sunset (which is on the balcony side of the hotel).

The hotel itself is in the perfect location. We could walk to the local market across the river, the Old Quarter is right next to the hotel, which is jam packed with a ton of restaurants and clubs (by the way, go eat at DMZ Restaurant in the Old Quarter -- easily the best seafood platter we had in Vietnam), and there is a shop right next to the hotel where you can buy things like wine (we found a really good, really cheap Vietnamese red wine there... what a discovery!), beer, liquor, foodstuffs, snacks, and pharmacy products.

The hotel is on a main road, but tucked back into a little alleyway, so you don't get any street noise. Very easy to get a taxi though. There's also a TP Bank right on the nearby corner, which is the best place for foreigners to get money from an ATM in Vietnam (no transaction fees on the Vietnam side!). You can't beat this hotel's location!

We ate breakfast at the hotel every day. It is prepared fresh on ordering, and they also have buffet items that are plentiful and always fresh. We ate the Hue noodles almost every day because they were delicious. We also tried eggs with croissants, fruits, and fresh juice one morning. Also excellent. Prices for the breakfast were very reasonable (we booked the rooms without breakfast included).

When checking out on the last day the staff gave us a very, very nice surprise. I won't tell you what it is because I don't know if they do this for everyone, but I'll say it was completely unexpected, VERY kind, and really demonstrated what we already knew by that point: This hotel is lovely, the staff are amazing, and if we ever come back to Hue, there is no doubt we'll be staying there again!

Thank you Scarlett Hotel!

Another gem of a Vietnam hotel tucked into the end of a small alley off a main road near the river. The staff were very helpful, my room had elegance and style in addition to comfort and a great shower. Perhaps it might be a little small for a couple but I found it perfect. Breakfast is taken in a small beautifully furnished, almost French-like setting off the lobby. In addition to standard buffet items, there is a list of egg dishes from which to choose. Delicious. I find this type of hotel infinitely preferable to the chain hotels at which I often have to stay! The receptionist also arranged a car with a very good English-speaking driver to get me to Danang. Loved the black and scarlet logo design on the hotel materials like key cards. I suggested that the hotel should print T-shirts in those colors. Had they been available I would certainly have purchased four!

The Scarlett Boutique was a great find in Hue. It is set back slightly from the street which seemed a little odd but it had no impact on the quality of our stay. The staff was incredibly helpful in arranging tours, recommending restaurants and generally taking care of us. We can't say enough about how nice they were. The room was very nice with small balcony. Small dining area serves great breakfast. Location is nearby to lots of restaurants and tourist streets but hotel is quiet.

The Customer Service Experience was exceptional, with special mention to Ms. Thien (aka Ms. Sky).

She was so welcoming, immediately rushing out to open the door the moment my wife and I was in sight. At the reception we were served a welcome drink during registration. We were totally bowled over by her reception.

Ms. Thien again displayed her impeccable customer service when due to a miscommunication, an additional breakfast charge was billed to our hotel bill which I didn't notice until we were well on our journey to Danang.

As we had trouble contacting the hotel with our mobile, we engaged the assistance of the reception at the hotel that we stayed in Danang to assist us.

Coincidentally, Ms. Thien answered the call and according to my wife, she kept apologising for the error and the matter was subsequently resolved very quickly. The refund was made to us through the hotel in Danang on the very same night. We were really impressed by the speed the matter was resolved together with the refund. Thumbs up to Ms. Thien and The Scarlett Boutique Hotel for exceptional customer service.

The hotel is well located within walking distance of Perfume River, Hue Imperial Palace and the entertainment and food & beverage hub without the crowds and noise.

The room we stayed in, The Rhett Room, was spacious enough for 2 persons, the decor was very beautiful and pleasing, the bed very comfortable, the room very clean and the bathroom very well stocked with essentials beautifully packed and even has a vanity mirror. Water pressure is strong and for those who loves hot showers, you will not be disappointed.

There was a complimentary fruits platter for our 2 nights stay at the hotel which we really appreciate. We later found out that this was the only hotel that provided a complimentary fruits platter out of the 3 hotels that we stayed in during our visit to Vietnam.

We had breakfast at the hotel on the morning of our departure and the food was really delicious.

Disliked · There was absolutely nothing not to like of the hotel.

It’s rare that the sum of the parts add up to satisfaction. Here the Scarlett tops the charts. Customer care , individual cooked breakfast , big beds and bedrooms , helpful staff all packaged in a lovely’s decorative building.
Hidden in an alley way that creates a quaint house and deadens the street noise .
Great to see something above the normal .

This small boutique hotel have redaccented suites named Scarlett and blue rooms named Rhett…
Hidden in an alley, it is somewhat dark on the lower floors. The suites have big vindows and balconies. Wellappointed with OK beds and great pillows, the rooms get a bit humid and cool. This is easily fixed by getting staff to change A/C to warm.
Shower runs plenty of hot water.
Breakfast is good enough with fruits, yoghurt and an well cooked á la carte selection.
Staff are kind and helpfuland will help arrange airporttransfers and tours of the tombs and imperial city
Restaurants and the shoppingstreet is around the corner.
5 minute walk from the hotel is the big and well ewuipped Olympic fitness gym, where you can buy a daypass

Staff were fantastic, happy to organise tours, book tickets etc. Liked the location down the alley, it was extremely quiet. Our room had everything we required but was rather small, pleased we didn’t have a lot of luggage. Breakfast was tasty, you could order eggs if you wished.
