Stayed at this fabulous hotel for 3 nights, It had a great roof top bar and restaurant overlooking the fabulous city. It has a small pool which was fine. This hotel is in a great location . It over looks the Saigon river. The staff are very helpful.

We were there with our tour group for 4 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were first there 3 nights, then left for Cambodia, and then returned for one night. The staff were so warm and welcoming. They will help you with anything you need. We loved the rooftop restaurant and breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay there again, we...

We arrived mid-evening on 8th March when it was dark. Not wanting a large meal, we went to the restaurant on 5th floor. We ordered drinks, noodle soup and a snack with chips. After waiting 35 mins we were presented with luke warm soup and cold French fries which were inedible. The following morning we were awakened at 05-30 with...

First time in Vietnam and the hotel didn't disappoint with an inviting warm colonial/Art Deco look. The staff were friendly, spoke good English and were happy to give sound advice and directions regarding local tourist spots. When we had the misfortune (carelessness) of handing over too much money to a taxi driver to a local restaurant (300000 vnd instead of...

The Majestic is a beautiful classy hotel, without being stuffy and pretentious. The staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. We stayed here 5 nights and chose a river view room, number 305 which was perfectly situated in the original part of the hotel, at the front with a great view of the Saigon river, and well worth the small...

Spent a few nights at the classic Saigon hotel. Really beautiful hotel with flawless service. Great location Roof top bar gorgeous. Restaurant in 5th floor served a nice breakfast buffet with a great view. Only problem was that we were told "construction not a problem " Turned out to be loud and annoying even on a Sunday. A number of...

Loved staying at this hotel, built during French colonization in the 20s, I believe. The rooms are spacious - some have a balcony overlooking the avenues (ours did, we loved looking down on the hustle and bustle and did not find it noisy) and some overlook the serene but small pool area. Breakfast served on the 5th floor outdoors was...

This hotel, was exactly what we were looking for. Smack in the center of Ho Chi Minh it has that look of an old French Palace, and that particular charm that no modern hotel has. The hotel is everything that you'd expect from a 5* hotel. Rooms are immaculately clean and spacious, our room was on the ground floor so...

Location great, bedroom really comfortable, and excellent breakfast. Only slight disappointment was lack of a view from the bedroom but this is, I suppose, to be expected in a city centre hotel. Did not eat or drink in the hotel as area has many good restaurants.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Majestic Saigon has been ranked at 118 among Asia’s top 125 hotels at the 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards which is based on voting preference of travelers of which has been praised by Conde Nast, a Top Travel Publication on 20 October, 2011. It’s our honor to officially confirm that the new Majestic Building will be an Annex Wing on Nguyen Hue street and next to the existing building. The Colonial Building since 1925 is still forever maintained as its Colonial French architecture. Since 1925, Majestic Hotel has occupied one of the finest locations in Saigon where guests can enjoy the stunning views of Saigon River. The old world boutique charm of the hotel, the elegance of columned and arched classical French colonial design glorify the Golden Age of architecture. Luxury is achieved through attention to details and complete comfort ensured through courteous service. The Majestic has gone through several reincarnations over the years, changes that reflect the tumultuous history of Vietnam. During World War II, the Japanese Imperial Army used this French colonial structure as a military barracks. During the Vietnam War, it was frequented by foreign correspondents and espionage agents. It is a hotel of tradition - hospitality - elegance. ... more   less
