The room was lovely. Very large and very clean and everything was in good working order. The staff were lovely, always pleasant with very good command of the English language. The breakfast was plentiful but not everything was tasty. But there were plenty of choices so you won't go hungry whatever your tastes are. The location is great for all things to see and do in district 1. We walked everywhere. Only downside was the restaurant on the upper level. It was pouring rain one day so we decided to go up there for a cocktail and a bite to eat. They mainly served western type food which surprised us and no alcohol was served until after 5pm. The food was very average and expensive by Vietnam standards and we were disappointed with our choice. We didn't dine there again during our stay. …
Clean and excellent staff especially at front door, concierge and housekeeping ….., very friendly and always do extra to serve. Surprised though room service, club sandwich was served with wrapping or covering… it was not a well made sandwich in any case…..,
Excellent hotel, wonderful room with river views. Prompt friendly service from the staff all over the hotel and in the roof terrace bar, which also has amazing views. Highly recommend this hote for easy access to the cityl.
we stayed there for 2 days. The hotel is under a great renovation. Nice clean rooms, but the restaurants and the rooftop bare need to improve, During breakfast the staff starts clearing the buffet at 9:50 while guests are still eating. They come with this ugly trolley to clear the food items. In the rood top bar, you are kicked out at 10 PM. This is not great hospitality. The hotel might need a western GM to solve such problems. It is only a question of staff training. It does not even cost money.
Cause of Covid-19 I have to stay in Ho Chi Minh in couple of months. No entertainment in HCM at the moment. I just stay in Hotel, relax and enjoy the Vietnamese food. Most of the staff are friendly, especially Front Desk staff. House Keeping gave me more bottle of water daily as they know that me drink a lot😊. so kind of them. Defintely recommend to my friend when they visist to Vietnam.
I had a 1-night stay at this lovely hotel and things went very well. Warm front desk welcome, spacious lobby and also the room has no doubt about its cleaness and decoration. Would definitely recommend
I just got back from a one-night stay at the Grand. This is without question, a five-star hotel in every way. I stayed in a tower room which is spacious and modern. I had a river view, to boot. The bed is the widest I've ever seen and very comfortable. I also viewed a room in the old building, the "ancient wing" and it was nice too. These rooms surround the beautiful pool area and they cost less money but would be fine for a couple of nights. The 20th-floor restaurant and bar have some of the best rooftop views of any place in the city. I can say that because I've stayed in many downtown hotels. Prices aren't cheap but you can get two-for-one-on drinks during happy hour. Remember, you're also paying for the amazing view! The buffet breakfast is the best I've had, too. Plenty of options and the dining room is beautiful. Most hotel buffets are not up to par because of covid's impact on occupancy, so this was a treat! The only thing you can't do because of covid is gamble in the casino which is closed until further notice. The gym is also what you would expect in a five-star property. All of the staff in the hotel was friendly and professional! Its location is also one of the best in the city with Nguyen Hue (walking street) a block away. This hotel is so nice, I will be back next week when I have a few days off because of the Independence holiday at the end of the month.…
Had the pleasure to stay here for a couple of days last week... It was a good choice! The room was spacious and well furnished with a good bathroom.. The staff in all areas were lovely and I could not fault them. What stopeed me rating it as a five was the Internet kept cutting out and the breakfast was not great.. This was probably due to the low number of guests staying.. I am sure it will be good when numbers pick up... I will definitely stay here again when I return to ho chi Minh city..
I had been working down in Tra Vinh province and returned to Saigon to move into my apartment which was not quite ready for me...so I decided to treat myself to a night stay at the Hotel Grand... this hotel is wonderful in everyway, its comfortable, has a great history, set in a perfect location and the staff and amenities make your stay a comfortable one...I had stayed here before with my family during a 'Mother's day' surprise for my wife... unfortunately, my wife and daughter are still stranded in Europe due to restricted travel for VN Nationals to Vietnam..so it was very comforting to be back in the Grand old lady of Saigon...
I attended a business event and found that the service during the event and for the gala dinner that followed was outstanding. Mr Heip in the banquet team was especially attentive and professional for our table. Thank you to all of the private dining team.
