Room was clean and confortble Very friendly staff. White Lotus in convenience location that help me easy to find foods and go around after working. Breakfast is decent, tasty. I enjoy vietnamese coffee everyday.
evacuation shower clogged, tv down, no hot water, staff not smiling, a pity for a last night in Saigon, if we add that the room has only a small window on the outside, the cabbage of another hotel would be better.
Once again my wife and I stayed at the White Lotus Hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and again enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful as always and the breakfast still enjoyable. Rooms were always maintained in a clean and tidy manner. Would certainly recommend the White Lotus Hotel.
I have stayed in the White Lotus Hotel for 2 nights. The room is very simple and out-dated. There is no window which you cannot tell whether it's in the morning or evening. There is no hot water in the morning (for both mornings). The shower area is covered by black mold. The room door is not sound-proof which you can easily hear the noise from the corridor and another room. There are very very limited selections for their breakfast buffet. I do not recommend any other business travelers to stay in this hotel.
Had a great stay! The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from downtown area as well as other restaurants and shops newly built on the same block as the hotel. The breakfast was good and convenient. An all around good value, cozy stay. Definitely worth upgrading to the suite for the big balcony and nice view.
The room we had at the White Lotus was definitely compact, in part due to the massive bed occupying virtually the entire room, it was a great bed though. The window what there was of it is what I believe is termed an internal window as the window itself looks into an air conditioning shaft, this however has an external window, so there is a view of sorts, given the right angle, and actually not the worse view I’ve ever had. Located in district 1, White Lotus is well located for exploring Ho Chi Minh City, which is a pretty big city but unfortunately not as actually pretty as either Hoi An or Hanoi. It was a very comfortable few nights and the room offered some welcomed respite from the onslaught to the senses that HCMC can be. Oh yeah and the fresh Pho at breakfast is the bomb, but be aware they only prepare enough for 20 bowls so get there early, I was gutted on our last day. …
Location: Just beside the apocalypse club. All the major monuments are at walkable distance. Rooms: Rooms are quite big and comfortable and smoking ones. But there are no windows and feels quite suffocating. Service: The team is very helpful and sincere. Overall - 5/10
We have stayed at plenty of hotels in HCMC ranging in price from $35.00 to $80.00 and the one thing we have learnt is that price and the number of stars has little to do with comfort and facilities. We have found hotels charging $40.00 can provide a better standard of accommodation than hotels charging twice the price. Even the ratings of the hotel on the various booking sites can be very misleading depending on the reviewer's likes, dislikes and age. We had booked into the White Lotus for one night thinking that if we liked it we could book some additional nights. As it happened our room on the 3rd floor was delightful, very spacious with two comfortable arm chairs and coffee table beside the large window which allowed plenty of light. The bathroom was superb, spotlessly clean and with the usual array of toiletories. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Being so impressed I returned to the reception desk to book a couple of extra nights but to my surprise and disappointment was told that they were fully booked for the coming days! However, we enjoyed the time we had there and the buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent. …
Location is superb in district 1 and that was the main reason of staying at the white lotus hotel. Many nearby shops, restaurants and from walking distance to the riverside. The room was spacious, but far from being as advertised on the pictures with supposedly "nice" views. The room I got had a very small window (type of window you'd find in a bathroom to let steam out!). There was no view at all as it was overlooking the side of the building. The room itself is fine with free water supplied and there is hot water supply from the shower. The hotel is very noisy at night with other guests shouting in the corridors/near the lifts and the doors being slammed closed every time. There should be some regulation/control on this so that other guests can sleep at night (happened around 2-3AM). Also the rooms are not soundproof at all and kept hearing noises from the room next door. Still have an average rating due to the great location and friendly staff at the front desk. …
Stayed in the suite which had a lovely terrace with a great view. Huge comfy bed. Room was very clean with good quality furniture. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was basic, bread, jam and coffee was fine for us. This hotel is value for money in a good location.
